Hi, I'm Mike Hanley with cars.com, and I'm inside Audi's Q7 SUV. And I want to show you some of the high-tech features that this model can have. First off, I want to start with Audi's multimedia interface controller, or MMI for short.
Some of the features that MMI controls are navigation when it's available, the audio system of the car, and car settings. And it does that via the buttons. And just rotate the knob to choose your selections or press buttons to choose other things you'd like to control. Now we've tested a couple of these, like iDrive, I mentioned, and as well as Mercedes COMAND system. And so far, we like COMAND the best just because of its intuitiveness and ease of use. MMI is okay, but it's not the greatest one out there. One of the available features of the Q7 that's controlled by MMI is the car's adaptive air suspension. It has a couple of different modes you can use to adjust the ride comfort of the Q7. And it also has modes that lift up the vehicle to give you more ground clearance. There's also a feature of that suspension that helps you load cargo in the back, which I'll show you in a second. With the air suspension, you can actually press a button in the cargo area to lower the rear of the vehicle almost three inches to make it easier to lift any bags you have into the cargo area. One of the features we're seeing more and more, and what's especially useful in SUVs, are rear view camera systems. And the Q7 can have one too. And it's nice because it has guidelines to show you where you're going when you're backing up and how close you are to whatever you're maybe nearing in your parking spot. So that's a quick rundown on the high-tech features the Q7 can have. And most of them are pretty helpful, but some of them, like MMI, aren't always the easiest to use. <v Announcer>For additional information on this car or any other, go to cars.com and our blog Kicking Tires.
