How Much Is the 2027 Honda CR-V?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- The Honda CR-V is one of our favorite small SUVs.
- Gas and hybrid engines are available, as are front- and all-wheel drive.
- The 2027 Honda CR-V is on sale now with a base price of $33,070 (including destination fee).
Compact SUVs are the default choice for car shoppers today. Our 2026 Compact SUV Challenge had eight entries, and even that left out major players such as the Chevrolet Equinox and Mazda CX-5. In that crowded field, the Honda CR-V rose nearly all the way to the top, finishing in second place. In other words, the Honda CR-V is pretty darn good. That doesn’t change for 2027.

Fuel Economy
The CR-V’s standard engine is a 190-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 179 pounds-feet of torque; it’s paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. FWD is standard, and AWD is available for $1,500 on every gas trim level.
The hybrid CR-Vs get a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder assisted by two electric motors; combined, they produce 204 hp and 247 pounds-feet. The CR-V hybrid’s motors function as a continuously variable automatic transmission. FWD is standard and AWD a $1,500 option on the Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid, but AWD is standard on the TrailSport and Sport Touring Hybrid.
The chart below shows fuel economy by trim level and powertrain; though official EPA estimates aren’t yet available, they shouldn’t change from 2026.
| Trim | Powertrain | City MPG | Highway MPG | Combined MPG |
| LX, EX, EX-L (FWD) | 190-hp, turbo 1.5-liter four-cylinder; CVT | 28 | 33 | 30 |
| LX, EX, EX-L (AWD) | 190-hp, turbo 1.5-liter four-cylinder; CVT | 27 | 31 | 29 |
| Sport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid (FWD) | 204 hp combined, 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid; eCVT | 43 | 36 | 40 |
| Sport Hybrid, Sport-L, Sport Touring (AWD) | 204 hp combined, 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid; eCVT | 40 | 34 | 37 |
| TrailSport Hybrid (AWD) | 204 hp combined, 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid; eCVT | 38 | 33 | 35 |
Interior Features
The Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies is standard on every 2027 CR-V. Systems include forward collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering steering assist and road-sign recognition.
The entry-level LX is fairly basic transportation, riding on 17-inch steel wheels and featuring cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats and air conditioning. It does, however, include a LED exterior lighting, a tilt/telescoping steering column and push-button start. Standard tech features consist of a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger and four-speaker audio system.
Other than black wheels and exterior trim, the CR-V Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid parallel the EX and EX-L, respectively. On the EX and Sport Hybrid, you get blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a moonroof, keyless entry and remote start. Inside, the EX has heated front seats (power-adjustable for the driver), dual-zone automatic climate control, white ambient lighting and six speakers.
The EX-L and Sport-L Hybrid add front and rear parking sensors, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and eight speakers.
The CR-V TrailSport Hybrid is equipped largely the same as the EX and Sport Hybrid, but it features standard AWD and rides on gray 18-inch wheels wearing all-terrain tires. It also includes a few extras from the Ls, namely the power liftgate, 10.2-inch instrument cluster and eight-speaker sound system. The TrailSport also shares amber ambient lighting and a heated steering wheel with the Sport Touring Hybrid.
In addition to that, the Sport Touring Hybrid caps off the CR-V lineup with black 19-inch wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a hands-free power liftgate, Google Built-In and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
