Lucid Gravity Comes From a Solid Foundation, Will Debut in L.A.
Lucid’s debut vehicle, the Air, will be a tough act to follow. The electric luxury brand launched in 2022 with the spacious sedan, which immediately set about racking up awards for its luxurious interior and comportment, tremendous range and power, and unmatched charging speed. A tough act to follow is also a great foundation for a companion model, and all that fanfare has our expectations sky-high for the upcoming Lucid Gravity, which is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.

Solid Foundation
The Gravity electric SUV will likely share the Air’s batteries and electric motors, which has output ranging from 430 horsepower to more than 1,200.
The EPA estimates the Air can go as far as 516 miles on a charge, but the Gravity’s upright SUV body may cause it to lose a sizable chunk of that range. Indeed, Lucid claims the only electric vehicle of any body style with more available range than the Gravity will be the Air.
Lucid also states the Gravity will have a sport-tuned air suspension, bidirectional charging capability and a new version of the brand’s high-resolution displays. The EV brand also states that the SUV will be able to tow, though towing capacity is yet to be revealed.
Space in Gravity
Lucid says the Gravity will be available with two or three rows of seats and will accommodate five, six, or seven occupants. It’s not hard to imagine the Air’s cavernous cabin translating into an equally voluminous space for three rows of people in a taller SUV body. And given the Air’s gorgeously finished interior, we expect the Gravity will be a sensory delight for every occupant.
The Lucid Gravity will officially debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Nov. 16, at which point we should have a lot more details — and lofty expectations.
