CARS.COM — They may be gas-guzzlers — but they’ll just keep on guzzlin’. SUVs are generally gonna cost you significantly more in gas over their lifespan, but then again, according to a new study by automotive research firm iSeeCars.com, they’re also more likely to run for 200,000 miles or more.

Here are the longest-lasting cars on the road, according to the study, followed by the percentage of each model reaching 200,000 miles:
13. GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck, 2.0 percent
12. Ford F-150 pickup truck, 2.1 percent
11. Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, 2.2 percent
10. Honda Odyssey minivan, 2.3 percent (tie)
10. Honda Accord sedan/coupe, 2.3 percent (tie)
9. Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, 2.5 percent
8. Toyota Avalon sedan, 2.6 percent
7. GMC Yukon SUV, 3.0 percent
6. Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, 3.5 percent
5. GMC Yukon XL SUV, 4.2 percent
4. Toyota 4Runner SUV, 4.7 percent
3. Chevrolet Suburban SUV, 4.8 percent
2. Toyota Sequoia SUV, 5.6 percent
1. Ford Expedition SUV, 5.7 percent
The study analyzed more than 13 million used cars sold in 2016 from the 1981-2017 model years and found that of the top 14 longest-lasting vehicles, SUVs accounted for half. The Ford Expedition ranks No. 1, with nearly 6 percent making it to the 200,000-mile mark compared with the 1.3 percent average for all models. Domestic brands made a strong showing, as well, with Ford and GM accounting for eight of the top 14, as did pickup trucks, accounting for four.
