I would like to readdress my review on Gerald at Herring Ford.i hv bought 5 vehicles from Gerald and with no complaints. My last vehicle had a minor problem... and I felt I could not get attention from anyone there. Gerald talked with me today and I feel much more positive today. I like Gerald , personally, but sometimes he is just too busy. This is a favorable review.
I purchased a 2008 1500 Chevy Silverado on consignment from Herring Ford dealership in Picayune, MS in July 2016. I requested the truck have a tune-up... and windshield replaced and put this in writing of this service accomplished. Six months later, this truck is back in shop with a possible spark plug that has been torqued to hard against the aluminum head (stripped), and now the head needs to be replaced. Herring Ford has given ever excuse or danced around every option not honoring work done by there service department. Including there service manager replied that their service department doesn't work on consignment vehicles, and I drove in person and handed them the Promise Bill with very little words to say! Recommendation, run from this dealership.
I purchased a 2011 F-150 back in December no problems with vehicle & the Sales Manager was willing to negotiate seeing I came all the way from Hattiesburg... & this was the only place out of many I visited that would even try to work out a deal. Most likely this is where I'm going to buy all my vehicles
Thought we found the perfect used car online. Pictures looked great but when we got there to look at the car it had been wrecked on the back left panel/bumper.... The pictures did not reflect the actual damage. The Salesman was super nice, but disappointed in the pictures and how the car was portrayed.
The dealership found the truck I was looking for which was in good shape, and commanded a premium price. ( more than some new cars). The salesman was... persistent, and even brought the vehicle to my home. The vehicle wasn't clean when delivered, the subject repairs weren't made, (parts on order and came in wrong) Salesman wanted mail them and have me to install them. Ultimately I drove to the dealership, got the parts and installed them myself. A month has passed with no follow up or satisfaction survey. At this point I wouldn't want one.
