Satisfaction
I was more than pleased when I was first greeted for my service, the service rep even knew my name. Had very pleasant conversation with one of the sales rep and also with check out rep as well. What a wonderful experience.

Completely Dismayed!
After having my vehicle serviced there last time I received a PDF which suggested the timing chain should be replaced and that would be about seven hundred dollars to complete. Thus I set up an appointment based on the this suggestion. After I dropped off my vehicle, the next day the service adviser called and asked what was the price I was expecting and I quoted him exactly what was in the PDF. He stated that was incorrect and the price was twelve hundred and asked if I wanted to continue. REALLY? At this point my vehicle is probably in the air, torn apart and I'm being charged for labor anyway. Cordially I said yes. But, Imagine if you had received a phone call stating the estimate was incorrectly done. While I am forgiving and somewhat tolerant to mistakes I found this "mistake" completely out of line! Then he states the mechanic input the wrong information. NOT my problem! He as a service adviser should have reviewed the information before he forwarded it to me, the customer. At this point my trust in this dealership is completely eroded. Ironically this same service adviser has made a couple of other errors with me and I have been forgiving and not complained however a five hundred difference is nothing most of us would not take lightly. Now lets add some salt to this wound because he said there is discount? For what? Services which were not approved nor completed anyway!!! As a professional this was handle completely unprofessionally and as stated you have lost my business. And to date the service adviser hasn't offered an apology. Conscientiously I can't recommend this dealership who underestimates your projects then expect the customer to pay up for your mistake. Nor will I return! I am open to dialogue about this incident although, quite frankly, I don't believe that conversation will happen.. Too bad.

The customer is correct on this instance. We absolutely should have never asked him to pay more for the repair than had already been quoted. We have left a voicemail message and have sent the following e-mail to the customer. "Let me first apologize for our absolute mishandling of an internal error. No one from my staff should have ever asked you to pay more money for a repair than what we had already quoted. I understand you now have a complete lack of faith in our honesty and ability to offer you the level of service and professionalism you and your automobile deserve. I would feel the same way. I did speak with my entire service team regarding the situation. After reviewing with them, they understand that we should never have asked you to pay any additional money above the quote we had presented. We should have simply made the repair and we would have possibly had an opportunity to ?wow? you with the result. Unfortunately, we created a ?wow? moment but 100% in the other direction. I am sending you a check for $410.70 which represent the difference in our original quoted price and the final billed price for the repair. I am also including a certificate for a free complete detail on your car at any future date with no expiration date. We would present you with the free use of a loaner car while this would be completed as well. I hope you will consider Mercedes-Benz of Hagerstown in the future but absolutely understand if you do not. Again my deepest apologies. If you have any question or would like to discuss further, please contact me at the number listed below." Regards, Justin Harbert General Manager Mercedes-Benz of Hagerstown 301-733-2301

I bought a 2012 Mercedes C300 from MB of Hagerstown. My salesman was Mike Lavrenchik and the finance manager was Rob Buchanan. My wife and myself had been considering buying an entry level luxury car for several months. We had mostly been considering BMW and had tried to make a deal on a BMW 3 series with our local BMW dealer but we could never come to an agreement. After that we were out one weekend and we decided to look at Mercedes just for the fun of it. We had previously looked at the C class back in 2010 and weren't really very excited about it but we thought we'd give it another shot. When we entered MB of Hagerstown we were greeted by Mike Lavrenchik and we asked to see a new C class. We started with the one in the showroom then Mike showed us what was on the lot. We decided to go or a test drive because we liked the new interior of the 2012. Mike came along for the test drive and provided us one of the best test drive experiences we've ever had. What we really liked was that Mike really new the features of the car. He was prepared to answer any questions that came up during the test drive and he had a test drive route he suggested that would enable us to see and use all the best features of the car. I probably buy a new car every 2-3 years and so I've done plenty of test drives. Most of the salesmen I've brought along on test drives usually don't demonstrate a good knowledge of the products they are a selling which is a big turn off to me. If the sales guy doesn't know the car then how can he competently sell it to me? After a great test drive we went back to the showroom and told Mike we'd like to make a deal on the car. We told him we wanted a lease and the lease features we wanted. Mike went ahead and put together numbers for a number of different scenarios. I liked that he didn't try to pull my credit before working on the deal or putting forth numbers. Unfortunately the numbers he came back with didn't really come close to where we wanted to be so we thanked him for his time and we left the dealership for the day. No pressure from Mike when we told him we were leaving. A couple of days later Mike called us and said he had worked with the finance manager to find some numbers that worked for us. Sure enough he had gotten the lease price down to the number we wanted and still managed to insure that we could get the features we wanted in the car. The only thing we weren't really happy about was the lease mileage being offered. I asked him to get us better terms for the mileage and he went to work on that. He called me back the next day and told me he could get me the mileage I wanted for only a few dollars more. They also raised their trade offer on the car I wanted to trade-in. At that point I told him we wanted to go ahead with the purchase. Only at that point did Mike take a credit application which I appreciate because I hate being asked to have my credit run when I'm not even sure I want to buy something. We went to pick up the new car after work. The dealership had the car all prepped and ready when we arrived so all we had to do was sign the paperwork and we'd be out quickly. I met with the finance manager Rob Buchanan to sign the papers while my wife got a tour of how to use the new car. After I was done signing the papers I went out to take possession of the car and I was shocked to learn that the car didn't have the features that I thought it had. This had happened because the car we test drove was different from the one we planned to purchase and we didn't actually see it until we came to sign the papers. Mike had told us they were similar so we didn't really review the sticker to see that every feature was identical. After seeing that the car I had just leased was missing several features that are very important to me I told Mike that we had a problem on our hands. I thought I was screwed for sure because I had signed all the paperwork and tags had been issued. Mike didn't blink though and just said "no problem, we'll just get you the car you want". After a quick search through the lot we found the car that had the features we wanted. The dealership voided all the sales/registration paperwork and 20 minutes later we signed the papers again on the right car. I was really impressed that none of dealership staff did anything but apologize when I told them I got the wrong car. All they did was say "lets make this right". I've been to other dealers that I know would have said "you signed so now its yours" or "are you sure you don't want to take this care? you don't need those features...". On top of that the dealership threw in a couple of free nice MB golf-shirts as an extra apology. In spite of our paperwork crisis we had a great buying experience at MB of Hagerstown. We never felt any sales pressure. We told them the terms of the deal we wanted and they always came back and made it happen. We felt like they gave us a great deal on our trade. We also loved the professionalism and knowledge of all the staff we dealt with. Compared to the negotiating and sales experiences we've had at other dealerships recently we really were impressed because every step along the way we felt like they were willing to do whatever it took to win our business. I strongly recommend dealing with Mike and Rob. Both of them made the experience very positive for us.

The entire process was positive and professional. Wes was by far the most pleasant car sales person I have ever worked with. Not only is he friendly but his knowledge of his product is endless. We came in not really sure what we wanted but ended up buying a 7 year old C class. We were treated so well you would have thought we had bought the most expensive car on the lot! I highly recommend this dealership and be sure to ask for Wes Whetsone - I guarantee you will walk away a happy customer! On a side note their service center is top notch too.

Mercedes Benz of Hagerstown is absolutely amazing. This is the seventh car we have bought with them. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They want all their customers to be happy. Barry London and Austin Shemon are wonderful. They are so patient, accommodating, and respectful. Barry has been my sales consultant for many years now, and I don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for his help! I honestly feel that the staff cares for the customer’s satisfaction and well being.
