This was by far the best experience at buying a new vehicle I have ever had. After getting the run around (price changed) from my local dealer I started checking on the web for dealers in northern Indiana. That is how I found CARS.COM I was contacted by several dealers so I started checking inventory. I want everyone to know that all the dealers I had contact with through CARS.COM were great. They answered any questions I had and were very quick with their response. The one that stood out was Michigan City Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge. Internet sales manager John Lipe replied to my email at 700am one morning and was still there at 800pm to meet with me. The price was right, The entire staff was great, We made the deal. To anyone looking to buy a new vehicle, make the drive, it's worth it. And thank you to CARS.COM for the great price on my new jeep and more important, for putting me in touch with some great people at Michigan City Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge

The salesman was awesome and made the whole experience wonderful. The General Manager Ed was very helpful and friendly. The Finance Manager Ron made the financial part a pleasure.

We purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership and...
We purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership and was lied to about the vehicle we purchased. We got the vehicle home and started looking it over and found that it had rust on all the seat rails that had been painted to cover it up. (Looked like flood car) We pulled a car fax and found it had been auctioned twice and the title had been corrected. We also found out that it was used as a rental car in IL for several years. We also did a Kelly Blue Book and found the value was thousands less than our purchase price. We took the vehicle back the next business day and way met with an angry salesman whom we told we no longer want the vehicle and felt we were taken advantage of and were cussed out and we left the vehicle there. They threatened to have it towed back to our house. which never happened but we are still fighting with them to stop the loan but they refuse. The finance person lied and said there were many more options on the vehicle to get the loan value up so that we could get the loan. Michigan City Chrysler Jeep is the most crooked dealership we have ever dealt with. I would advise anyone to never deal with these people.

MY brand new Wrangler!!
I moved back "home" from Florida about 8 months ago and began to realize that with the rapidly changing Indiana weather and driving/road conditions I was going to need a more versatile vehicle. After much time and research my husband and I decided on the Jeep Wrangler. Because I could get everything I would ever want and/or need in (or on) my new Jeep, my final purchase decision came down to color. I wanted to see the actual color ON the vehicle because I don't believe the brochure colors are accurate. I found one of the colors I thought I might like on-line so I called John Lipe at Michigan City CDJR to schedule a visit. Much to my surprise and satisfaction there was a Jeep in every available color on the lot. Once I made my color selection, John began the search for an existing Jeep that met my EXACT specifications so that I neither paid for amenities I did not want or need nor have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery by ordering it directly. I'm sure the process of securing a vehicle on another lot in another state is normally no big deal but in this circumstance I did not make my final decision until about 10 minutes to closing time on a Saturday night! Due to John's persistence with his colleagues in Washington and Alabama and near infinite patience with me and my woman's prerogative, I just drove home in MY brand new 2 door "Crush" Jeep Wrangler with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't!!

Was sold a Chrysler 300 that had an after market device...
Was sold a Chrysler 300 that had an after market device epoxied behind the electronic ignition. The dealership programmed a second key to the car for us, which Penny, in the service dept. told us at the time was a "tight fit." The key never did work perfectly. You had to sometimes return the key to the upright position after starting the car and adjust it just so-so. Just little oddities. It began to happen with the original key too. We really didn't know what to think of this, at first it was occasionally then it began to happen more frequently. Last Saturday it finally caused our keys not to work at all. Neither key would turn the ignition at all! The car had to be towed from our garage to the nearest Chrysler dealership which is in LaPorte, where this problem was discovered. I contacted Michigan City Chrysler thinking they would take care of this especially since we purchased an extra warranty with the car. NOPE! I was treated extremely rude by manager ED! Told that the car ran when I purchased it. It obviously had this problem all along. It was just not severe enough to reveal exactly what the problem was! Save yourself some major headaches and drive on over to LaPorte where they know how to treat people!

This is the worst dealership! They have terrible after sale service. The manager is a complete xxx! Do not buy a car here! They will not take care of you even after you spend a great deal of money!

New Jeep New Motor!!!
Got a great deal! Customer service was great! We knew what we wanted and they went above and beyond to make us feel like Family. Even the Phone call to see how we liked our Purchase made us feel like they really cared about us.

Great customer service
I went to this dealership just looking around at vehicles my car was on its last leg and I don't think it was going to last much longer. I spoke to Russell Pray one of the sales associates at the Michigan City dealership he was kind and very informative. There was absolutely no pressure from the sales person or any of the management. It was a very positive environment I will go back again!!
