Mr. House introduced himself to my daughter and I, right after one of your salesman blew us off. When he left us, I started looking on my own and that is when Mr. House came up to us. He listened to what I was looking for, drove us around the lot where I found a SUV that I wanted; he answered the questions I asked. His manner was very professional and friendly. He made the process of buying the Rav4 less stressful, along with being patient while I had to hunt into my purse for different information. He explained the process step by step; before he would leave, he would let us know the reason. Had it not been for Mr. House intervention, I would have purchased a car, but not from Checkered Flag Toyota. I truly am satisfied with the car and the service I received from Mr. House and the young lady that offered the package for the undercoating and paint, also, the financial person was very nice, explaining the paperwork in a way that I could understand. To Checkerd Flag Toyota, I have brought my 2003 Tundra to Checkered Flag for service many times. Even though it was purchased from a competitor, I have always received excellent service. My wife was in the market for a new car to replace her 2000 Kia. Even though she had indicated that she would like to replace it with another Kia, possibly the Sportage model, I wanted to show her what other options were available. We had looked at the RAV4 a couple of years ago and she said that it was too small and felt cramped and that she did not like the styling of the exterior. On Saturday, 4/18/09, we deceided that it was time to seriously look for a new car. Our first stop was Checkerd Flag. The very first car that we looked at on the lot was a 2009 RAV4. Mr. James House showed us all of the new features and invited us to take a test drive. My wife, Rebecca drove the car the entire time we were away from the dealership. Mr. House further explained various features of the vehichle while on the test drive. Upon return to the dealership, Rebecca and I decided that we did not need to look any further. This RAV4 was exactly what she wanted. Mr. House guided us thru the purchase process every step of the way. He was always curtious, professional and personable. He made the experience, in my opinion, the most enjoyable one I have ever had at a car dealership. We started off at the NFCU Tent Sale on Saturday Morning. At one point we had a car picked out but changed our mind and went to the Checkered Flag Toyota dealership. While the tent sale had mainly used cars and pushy salesman the dealership had very pleasant people and new cars. It was a pleasure to work with Alex. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and most important he laughed at my jokes. In other words a salesman who knew how to work with people, even to the point of laughing at stale jokes. They gave me the same deal I would have gotten if I bought at the Tent Sale. I had a pre-approved loan from NFCU but I did not have a check or the documents indicating that. I signed all the dealership paperwork and they let me take the car home on Saturday evening. I returned on Monday with the check. I saw Alex again and again he was there with us to make sure that everything was done hassle free and in a timely manner. Both my wife and I enjoyed working with Alex and the Checkered Flag dealership. It was an experience that we will remember and will bring us back when we buy another car. Dennis L. Waite

Exceptional dealership. Minimally hassel. I made an offer, they wanted one item added which I had excluded. We decided on a figure and we were done. Whole purchasing prosess in less than 1 hour. Easy people to work with if you are prepared. After sale service has also been excpetional to date.

In addition the sales representative and sales manager were very professional, courteous and "removed the pain from the process" with a non-invasive, personal approach. The website was very informative and well done - with creative and helpful video clips - and actually led me to select this dealership for a purchasing decision. Toyota makes a fine automobile, and Checkered Flag is an outstanding dealership, providing me the best price for my Sienna of choice in Southeastern Virginia.

I was rescued from Checkered Flag VW! I was in a 4 year lease with a 2007 VW Eos which was loaded. This lease was through Checkered flag VW. The Eos has been in the shop multiple times for the same problems,convertible top operational problems, leaks and most recently twice for both of the front windows locking and becoming inoperable.- The second time the front windows went out it was just 5 days from picking up the car from service for the same problem. I had tried to negotiate with VW to be put into a new vehicle, but they were not very accomodating. It was after this second time that I decided to pursue a Toyota, because I am aware of Toyota's reliability. Alex, Ed and Josh, were easy to work with and understanding of what I had been through at VW. I am very happy to finally be in a car that I feel I can rely on.

This purchasing experience was very easy, and painfree. It went so well that I went back the next day and purchased a second vehicle (used) for our family. I received a good price on my trade-in, and am extremely pleased with my new vehicle, a highlander hybrid. I love it! Everything from the test drive to the financing was quick and easy, the people there are very friendly...I will definitely stay with Checkered Flag Toyota Everyone I worked with at Checkered Flag Toyota was very professional, and pleasant to deal with.
