The sales person (Jay) was very professional, courteous and extremely accommodating. Unfortunately, the "negotiation free" sales strategy prevented him from closing the deal. Everything in this world is negotiable. I would definitely recommend Jay to a friend. However, I cannot support the inflexibility of the management team.

I've owned cars since the 70's. I've toured VW, Honda, Chevy, Nissan, Ford, Carmax and Toyota Dealerships, been to car shows, used car lots, junk yards - have kept a Chevy S-10 alive for 22 years - rented cars for the last 9 years of its life and in 2013 hunted for a used car. In short, I've been around and know what I like. I've had good and bad experiences. My visit to Checker Flag Toyota dealership was by far the best experience to date. Carmax was the lowest key, low stress, but not as friendly. Jaclyn has been my next door neighbor since last year. This was my first professional interaction with her and she was super. Easy to make an appointment, flexible when I arrived late, I was asked by almost all the staff that saw me waiting if I needed assistance. I got a full tour of all the options - new and certified pre-owned - sales and lease options. We drove a certified pre-owned Highlander XLE, 2015 model with lots of extras, some regrettably unique to that model year. I learned all about what made that SUV special, what makes Toyota great, what makes Checkerflag Toyota best of all. I gained a new respect for my neighbor too. The only things that kept me from buying the car right then were my personal circumstances and the ridiculously low value of my Chevy Colorado - I've lot $10k in 4 years after I bought it used. (lesson here - buy a Toyota if you want a car to hold value - painful lesson learned). I know my next car with be a Toyota and my only dealership will be Checker Flag in Norfolk. We had an amazing experience at Checkered Flag Toyota! We have been using them for year and they were able almost MATCH our 2012 vehicles payments to a BRAND NEW ONLY 1 MILE 2017! Thank you Crysania Davenport and the rest of Toyota staff for all you do!

Excellent car shopping experience. The dealership is clean and they provide a no-pressure, haggle-free environment. I did business with Mr. Demario Street and he was patient, professional, and thorough. He was never pushy, but made sure I knew all the options available to me and was great about explaining the costs and terms of my lease. Would definitely recommend and do business there again, preferably with Demario.

I just purchased my second Toyota Camry from Checkered Flag Toyota in Virginia Beach. There is a reason I went back to the same dealership again for the second purchase. My first experience was so pleasant, not at all what I expected and not at all what I had experienced at other dealerships in the past. I love the no-haggle pricing at Checkered Flag Toyota! They give you a GREAT price on the vehicle without having to go through that ridiculous game of negotiating. I had an AWESOME sales person, Jordan Weekley who felt more like a family member or friend than a sales person. He was genuine, friendly, patient, kind and helpful! He really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy! All the people I have had interactions with at Checkered Flag Toyota have been so nice. I also like that the sales people help each other. It is clear they are a team and care about each other as well as making sure the customers are happy, regardless of whether it is their customer or a customer of their teammate! I would highly recommend Checkered Flag Toyota in Virginia Beach to anyone in the market for a vehicle. You can’t beat a Toyota for value and reliability – and you can’t beat the experience you will have making the purchase at Checkered Flag!

Jay Sawyer was great to deal with. A genuine straight to the point guy. He was really helpful, We will call him up when its time to upgrade our 2004 Tundra.

They say I have 3 months warranty for my Used truck but I only used it for 15 days I Service the truck but it not covered

I had a great experience while deciding to purchase my vehicle. The salesman, Vick Webb was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and really helped me finalize my decision to purchase the vehicle that day. I was initially scheduled to see another salesman but the stars aligned right and had Vick as my salesman to assist me in making the decision that I did. I honestly think that if it was another salesperson, I may have not purchased the vehicle. Vick made me feel comfortable and painted a picture, so to speak, that I was able to envision.

This was by far the most comfortable buying experience we have ever had. The staff was very friendly as you entered the showroom without being aggressive. The unbelievably low prices were clearly posted on every vehicle. The most noteworthy part of our experience was Daniel Dalton. He was extremely knowledgeable of the entire Toyota line. He was very forthright in offering the pros and cons of the different vehicles and options. We were amazed at his detail of knowledge. He made us feel very comfortable with his low key approach with no pressure at all. He immediately made us feel that he was our advocate in the buying process, not as if he were coming from across the desk, as is so common in many dealerships. The Toyota line has every vehicle for every need. Checkered Flag is by far the best dealership in Hampton Roads. There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else.
