False Advertising and Bait-and-Switch Tactics I found an unbelievable deal on a used Outlander online, lured in by an enticing price. However, upon arriving, I was told it was undergoing repairs and wouldn’t be available. A few days later, to my shock, the quoted price had soared by $4,000. Apparently, those repairs were somehow a reason to inflate the cost, leaving me questioning their integrity. Sneaky Fees and Hidden Charges But the real kicker came when I was presented with the financing terms. I was blindsided by an exorbitant $8,000 charge labeled as “mandatory warranty packages.” This fee seemed crafted solely to exploit unsuspecting customers. It felt like a classic scam—get you in the door with a low price, then slap on hidden fees that no one talks about. Misinformation and Safety Concerns To add insult to injury, I was pitched a premium ceramic coating for the car that was hailed as the best in the business. Instead, it turned out to be a rushed, poorly executed job that compromised my visibility at night. When I asked about the warranty period, which was initially touted as 5 years, the reality hit hard: it was only 1 year with the actual supplier. Clarity and honesty? Absent. The dealership’s lack of accountability is staggering, as I later learned I wasn’t alone.
