Everyone is always super nice - but my last two oil...

Everyone is always super nice - but my last two oil changes have resulted in my steering fluid cap not being replaced - found after I got home . And my oil pan shroud was missing a bolt and left dangling.

Overall, not pleased. Took 3 days over time, and door lock problem not resolved. They did not provide a good explanation of the troubleshooting nor the potential components that were involved. We never spoke to the actual mechanic who did the work. We always spoke with the service advisor, who in one case told me he was ordering a new master key, "it will be here on Tuesday", and then when we picked up the car on the final visit, he told us that he did not order a new master key. When I went to the car on the 2nd visit, the driver-side door lock would not lock with the key. On the 3rd day of service, the door still would not lock. We took the car in frustration. The problem with the doors unlocking could not be repeated, we understand the spurious nature of that problem; but the fact that the driver side door would no lock with the key should have been solved.

For the past 3 days, I have been trying to reach Ms. Ortiz. I have left at least 2 voicemails with no response. I have tried to email her, but the email on her voicemail system is not valid. I went on-line to LHM and tried to get a valid email. Ended up chatting with "Paul". He would not provide a valid email. I laid out my complaint and request for resolution as follows: "My daughter was charged $160.19 for an attempted repair on her 2005 Corolla locking system on 18 September. The repair was not successful. We took the car back to American Toyota on 2 October and another repair was attempted. The car was held over until October 3, since, when we attempted to pick it up on October 2, the driver side door lock was completely bad (would not lock or unlock with a key). I request a full refund be made to my Daughter's credit card as soon as possible. The locks were eventually repaired by a locksmith for $120. If LHM can't fix door locks on Toyotas, you have a serious problem. However, you could have at least told us upfront that we needed to go to a locksmith rather than wasting our time. We are dissatisfied customers. As I said in my last voicemail, my family has been a long time owner of Toyotas. We presently own 5 and have owned 5 more over the past years, for a total of 10. Perhaps it is time to look elsewhere for vehicles." Paul said a manager would be in touch. So far, as of 10:30 am today, no contact via email or phone. I am sure if I had called to buy a vehicle, they would be all over me. VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND I WON'T FORGET IT.

Missed the complimentary car wash and 1 bolt missing...

Missed the complimentary car wash and 1 bolt missing underneath the scrape plate area. Other than that service was great. Took care of us well.

This dealer wanted to charge $125 in labor for “fuel system treatment”. Come to find out it’s a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. $125 to pour a bottle into my gas tank.
