This used car has interior LED lighting in the doors that I found after purchase were not working,($2700 to repair) and that Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek had replaced a rear ac console with a used one from a car that had heated rear seats which mine didn?t, so it is the wrong console: I have written to both the general manager and deputy general manager, neither of whom have had the courtesy to reply to me about why they didn?t disclose these issues at purchase and what they intend to do about it. Extremely disappointing behavior for such a prominent dealership.

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580
I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580 from Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek in April 2024, trading in my 2023 EQS. Almost immediately, the vehicle experienced major issues that should never have passed CPO inspection. Later, I discovered undisclosed accident history, which directly conflicted with Mercedes-Benz CPO standards. Throughout this process, the dealership’s General Manager repeatedly contacted me in a manner that was curt, dismissive, and unprofessional, often offering excuses rather than solutions. On several occasions, the clear tone of the conversations suggested an effort to wear me down and make the issue go away, rather than address the facts or take accountability. That experience was deeply disappointing, especially given the expectations of a luxury brand. After months of documentation and persistence, Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) reviewed the case and ultimately agreed to repurchase the vehicle. I am grateful to MBUSA for stepping in and resolving the matter professionally and honorably. While I continue to respect the Mercedes-Benz brand, my experience with this particular dealership fell far short of the integrity, transparency, and customer care one expects when purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. I strongly encourage future buyers to independently verify vehicle history, inspection records, and certification details, regardless of assurances given at the dealership. Accountability matters — especially at this level.

To Whom it May Concern, I am writing to report a significantly negative experience I had at Walnut Creek Mercedes today regarding service on my transmission. Dave, the shop foreman, and Zack, the director, were rude and disrespectful during our interaction. They stopped just short of calling me stupid and ignorant. I came in today to report ongoing issues with my transmission, the same unit on which they previously worked to replace a faulty valve body. The transmission is currently reporting error codes indicating a faulty TCU. When I presented this, Dave stated, "it is completely normal to have error codes reporting a faulty TCU. If I were you, I would just drive the car." This was presented as if a faulty TCU affecting emissions was acceptable. However, I am experiencing several symptoms consistent with a faulty TCU: - Decreased Fuel Economy: Since the transmission service and the appearance of the error codes, my car has achieved a significantly lower number of miles per full tank. Previously, I achieved over 430 miles per tank; I now cannot get more than 360 miles per tank. - Shifting Issues (Up): My car refuses to shift into higher gears despite reaching high RPM rates. It only shifts when I lift up on the gas pedal. - Rough Downshifting: My car downshifts very roughly when transitioning from 6th to 5th, 7th to 6th, 8th to 7th, and 9th to 8th. I request that these issues be addressed and the faulty TCU error code be properly investigated, especially since the problems appeared following the prior service work.
