Not through when you take your car here. I had high hope's for Lexus of Naperville. Tok car in for a recall and a front noise when turning. Lexus said I needed front brakes upon inspection, pads were REALLY low. Didn't bother checking the rear. Was told by ANOTHER place (oil change) 5 days later that the REAR brakes needed replacement and Lexus should have caught it. The rear brake pads are not even touching the rotors properly and they even showed me. What's worse is Lexus has a break special this month you would think they would want to check all cars for this to generate revenue. I guess they have enough money 50k+ for a car ,so who wants another 400.00 for break pads? Sadly, now more of my time needs to be wasted for more break work that should have been caught at the same time as my front pads. Also, when I called Lexus back regarding this issue I had to call 3.. yes 3 times to get an answer as to why. They stated that they just didn't inspect the rear since my car wasn't in for a break check initially. Customer service is not a priority here if it takes 3 separate phone calls on different day. Don't bring your car for service here.

We are so sorry that your first experience with us was not what you expected. Unfortunately, because you were not in for a full maintenance package, the technician did not have authorization to perform any of the other inspections than what was asked to be done to address the primary concerns. This is a policy we have however, If management was involved, we would have suggested the technician check the other brakes and ask the advisor to call you and get your permission to remove the rear wheels to check the rear brakes also. The technician has been notified of this case and knows now that he will be handling things differently should something like this come up. This certainly was not a matter of not wanting/needing the work; all jobs are important to us: big, small and everything in between. This was a matter of us unfortunately putting a policy over common sense, which resulted in us giving you a poor experience. We’d be more than happy to work something out with you to get the rear brake work done, if it still needs to be, or to come up with a way to make it up to you on a future service if you’d be willing to give us the opportunity to do so. Thank you for your concerns and please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have further questions or simply want us to help rectify this situation.- Ben Curcio, Service Manager bcurcio@lexusofnaperville.com

Legitimate 5-star experience working with Dan Foster

This was my 5th new car purchase over the last decade (2007 Honda-New/Finance, 2015 Audi-New/Finance, 2017 Audi-New/Lease, 2019 Hyundai-New/Finance); this was by far the best new car acquisition experience, hands down. Following a request I submitted online, an administrator contacted me within a few hours to set up an appointment for a same-day late afternoon meeting (and rescheduled with me via an online chat system available on the Lexus of Naperville website) then my sisters and I returned the next morning to establish the final pricing and get the paperwork completed. Dan Foster made the final decision-making process surprisingly easy, especially given the nuanced circumstances of how we wanted to purchase this vehicle (2020 RX350 AWD, Dec 2019). He is well-versed in the vehicles, incredibly easy to work with and accessible for question... a solid professional. Some of the notable actions taken by Dan and his apt utilization of the Lexus of Naperville team include: (1) laying out the major differences in available vehicles/add-on options/older-to-newer model comparisons, etc; (2) providing an easy comparison of the final two vehicles we were debating between (even doing this on Lexus' official website is a chore) for add-on options and pricing; (3) doing all the legwork working with the GM and finance team in the background (no dealing with management for commercial negotiations) to get the pricing into a comfortable place for both parties; (3) transferring an older car title from myself to my sister (whose name the new finance would be under) to use as the trade-in... this all happened in the background with minimal involvement from us; (4) promptly having his team do the trade-in vehicle assessment and offering a final value and describing exactly why it may not be the full value (the latter part is the most important); (5) processing the new car registration and installing new license plates (no visit to a Secretary of State office/DMV); (6) removal of all stickers/plastic wrapping, cleaning of new vehicle, getting the vehicle ready-to-go; (7) letting us borrow the giant red bow for the December to Remember event (gift for our parents); (8) offering an official vehicle walk-through to get whoever acquainted with the features of the car; (9) finalizing paperwork/warranties - this is usually the most stressful part as it is almost always rushed and filled with painfully convoluted paperwork with unexplained numbers and a host last-minute add-ons that some may not fully consider before going into the purchasing process. Yes, it was still a fast-paced process but questions/concerns were answered thoroughly and the warranties/add-ons were laid out well on a digital smart board (in lieu of those brochures for body wraps, extended warranties, and whatnot). All that being said, this experience was top notch but it's still good to come prepared to make both parties' lives easier. I would recommend doing your due diligence to help streamline the whole experience (e.g. know what models/options to compare, understand reasonable vehicle pricing for that location/region, (if you're not paying cash) estimate your credit score and expected finance APRs along with the range in monthly payments you'd expect, have your trade-in vehicle title ready, etc.). These folks aren't mind readers so give them something to work with. In summary, we had plenty of questions, concerns, and expectations that we laid out for Dan upfront (and several strewn about during our various discussions) and he did a stellar job walking through all of them and going above and beyond what we expected from a sales representative. Honestly, kudos to Dan Foster and kudos to Lexus of Naperville's team.

A December to Remember (Of course!)

Unplanned purchases are always with some trepidation; we were not planning anything, but last summer a vehicle appeared in the showroom at "L of N," and it would not 'go away'. Every time we came into the store, it was still there. Summer turned to fall and a few days before official winter, our purchase was negotiated. Two exceptional members of the sales staff are Sal Lala and Tony Stewart, who made the deal possible and fair-minded. The process was rather long, because we (my wife and I) needed extra time to decide. We 'kicked the tires' for nearly five weeks, and these gentlemen accommodated our dance without being pushy or intrusive. It was a nice experience. Our trade-in was given the best dollar value, while the new vehicle's price and after-purchase packages (extended warranty, 3M shield, special coating, pre-paid maintenance, etc.) were negotiated to honest price points. I don't believe we could have made a better deal. Thanks, Lexus of Naperville staffers, Sal and Tony especially! Apologies for this commercial, but in our case it was a 'December to Remember', indeed. Sad to see the not-so-old vehicle go, but we are very happy with the new one.
