Finally an honest dealership!

Eric was great to deal with, and the manager worked with us to get to a price we can both agree on on our new Mazda 3. It was an easy experience, Eric didn't upsell us on anything and the negotiating process was easy and friendly. Upstairs, there were no last minute surprises and we actually got a fair deal at the end. It was obvious that they are building a relationship, not just trying to force a sale. Even after the sale Eric kept in touch with us and made sure we are happy with the car. He was asking if we have any questions about the car and if there's anything else we need. Overall, a very positive experience. Mazda made a friend in us thanks to the employees at Shortline Mazda!

Very Happy with the Experience

Danika was very helpful in helping me get the car I wanted at a fair price. She was very helpful and no high pressure tactics. She followed up after the fact to make sure everything was working out after the fact.

Patrick Provides Great Service

I sent an email to Shortline and was pleasantly surprised when Patrick promptly contacted me. He took the time to find out exactly what I was wanted in a vehicle. He also listened patiently to my reason for needing a vehicle. He set an appointment for me and called to confirm. He had researched the cars available that fit my criteria and had them ready for me to test drive. Unfortunately, the car had I had chosen didn't feel right when I drove it. I explained exactly what the problem was and Patrick immediately switched gears and introduced me to a vehicle that I had not considered. Because Shortline is such a big dealership, he was able to put me into a car that felt comfortable when driving and met my needs. He worked super hard to get me the payments I wanted at a great price for a brand new car. I did not feel pressured. I am a senior so being treated with respect and patience is very important to me. Patrick was superb !! I highly recommend him.

Great Experience

Nobody enjoys the process of purchasing a vehicle for obvious reasons. I just had my first overall positive car-buying experience and I'm so excited, I felt the need to write a review. Patrick delivered exceptional customer service and was incredibly genuine throughout the process. When I am making large purchases, I will always go with a salesman who isn't throwing the typical pitch at me and who shows true interest in my needs. Job well done!

Love my new car!

I really enjoyed working with Danika, she was very informative and I did not feel pressured into buying a vehicle. I was a loyal Toyota customer for almost 10 years and Danika was able to win me over to Mazda. I went in with the exact price I wanted to pay and they were able to get me a deal that worked perfectly for me.

Beware of Sales/Finance fraud

Absolutely no idea how this company has a 4.9 star overall rating... Went in on a Saturday looking to trade in our Mini Cooper for a used AWD SUV, nothing fancy. We did have a bit of negative equity on our trade in, and were hopeful to get out of that situation. We were recommended to lease a 2016 CX5...test drive went well & with a little $ down, drove off with a 2016 CX5 Touring @ $499 per month & 3 years of no cost maintenance...we were told multiple times we were "good to go". The following week, we get calls from sales & finance that they need more information about our income & credit car payments - we supplied those, and again were "good to go, no problems." Couple more days go by and I get a call from finance to let me know the bank actually couldn't honor the contract that we signed, but the "good news" was that they "called in a favor at the bank" and were able to keep our payments the same at a 84 month purchase...so, $499 for 7 years. Those with half a brain, know that this adds up to nearly $42,000 for a $28,000 car...AND THAT'S AT 0% financing! Not only that, we're instantly put back into a negative equity situation (which we honestly told sales/finance we were trying to get out of). In our original visit, we were told there was a 1% chance of this happening, and the example that was given to us? Finance said it happens when someone loses their job, gets addicted to drugs and starts living in the car. So, finance grossly misrepresented the clause in the contract (which is fraud) and also did not have us sign a spot agreement (which is standard in Colorado giving them the right to do what they did to us). There were also 2 people on the lease, but only 1 of us signed the contract... Upon return to the dealership, finance was ready to get us in to sign a new contract & get us back out the door as quick as possible. We were honest the entire time with them throughout this process, but I guess they did not remember that my fiancé is an attorney...we lit into the finance guy, he had no rebuttal what so ever...let him know we aren't signing a new contract, etc. He didn't even try to negotiate with us to keep the sale, it just "is what it is" and he was ready to let us walk. When we walked down the stairs my fiancé let him know of the fraudulent practices they were using, and he instantly stopped talking to us. He went outside to "look at the car" but we aren't blind...he didn't look at the car, he was outside talking to the manager of that branch...who began scratching his head, wiping his forehead...typical body language of someone who just got caught doing something they shouldn't. The manager came back in to talk with us, tried to smooth the situation over etc. He had no leg to stand on and was clearly not prepared for us to come in there ready to fight back against their shady business processes. He is actually the one that told us about Colorado being a spot agreement state, and when we left him know we didn't sign a spot agreement, he was shocked. We told him how finance represented the lease "fine print", again...he apologized and said that's not how we do things...but...THAT'S LITERALLY HOW THEY DID THINGS. He danced around trying to get us in a lesser 2016 model at a cheaper payment, but at this point there was nothing they could do to turn it into a positive situation. I will never do business with any shortline dealer ever again. To end the situation, they left us outside for about half an hour trying to get our used car from "across the street". Brought it back and they didn't have screws to put our plates back on. The finance guy and manager wanted nothing to do with us and sent some random guy to help the rest of the way. The saddest thing is...they claim to pride themselves on transparency & customer service...repeat customers and word of mouth. They "don't take advantage of people" like other "shady car dealers" is what they preached during the process on our first visit. Don't be a victim.

Shortline made if fun

Danika at Shortline Auto made my car shopping fun and stress free. My (grown) son went along with me to help as I'd never done this by myself before. He was very impressed with Danika and commented that she treated me better than the other sales people we had met with. I truly thought I'd go with a Ford Escape, but was impressed with the reviews of the CX5, so we wanted to check it out. Danika explained the options, motor, all the little things I'd want to hear about. No other sales person did that including another female sales person. My son asked her a lot of questions which she didn't mind at all; and at no time did we ever feel pressured, even after we test drove on Saturday and said we'd probably be back on Monday. Trust me, they don't like you to leave once they have you on the lot. I love my CX5, the zero% financing, and their customer service. I feel very lucky I pulled into Shortline.

Great Sales person Levi and great communication.

I had to travel about 50miles and the reason I did was because of the great online service I received. The Sales person was a great representative of the dealership. I was looking at an KIA Optima and did like most of it, the deal was right and they worked hard at getting me the deal I wanted which I really appreciated. That part was great what my main problem was the choice of colors both outside and interior just didn't get it for me. Power train and mechanical and warranty were good. What the deciding factor was the interior colors were to light for me, I like the darker colors. Nissan made me the same deal on a Altima S with colors I very much liked. On Scale of 1 - 10, 10 being best I would rate Shortline a 10 for internet sales and representation however I feel Kia Optima needs a little better color options and would rate at 6 or 7, Power train and interior features, radio, back up camera, and add ons 8 or 9. So what did not get the deal for me was the Color options. I will however recommend to anyone looking for a car, that they check out your Dealership as they have a courteous, efficient and friendly Sales team. Thank you I had an enjoyable experience. Especially thank you to Salesman Levi Pollack,
