I brought my Mazda6 in to Gateway Mazda 2/05 to have them perform an estimate on my car, which had been scraped with a small amount of white paint on the rear driver's side from my garage. After dealing with an unfriendly service man, my experience got even worse. My estimate came back as costing approximately $400 due to "body work and repainting" that needed to be done. There was no way I was going to pay that ridiculous amount, so I took it to a local bodyshop up the street. The man at the second place drove my car to the back, returned 10 minutes later, and my car looked as good as new! He said they just needed to scrape the white paint off without doing any body work -- at no charge! The Service Department at Gateway would have gladly taken my money and I wouldn't have been the wiser. I would not recommend them at all if you are looking for a relatively upfront Mazda dealership.
