Brent Pittman Review

I highly recommend Brent. He was very patient and attentive to our needs when my husband and I were purchasing a car. I will definitely request him for my next purchase.

LOVE THIS DEALERSHIP

This is the first time I have ever gone to a Toyota dealership and would go back in a heartbeat. I gave this dealership a 5 star rating. Kendall was great to work with and family friendly. We had to take our children with us and he had a lot of patience with us and our children. Children are usually the best judge of character and when my boys were able to joke and play around with Kendall and not afraid of him, I knew this was a great employee and I loved working with him. All the people we worked with throughout the process of purchasing our new vehicle were pleasant, kind, caring and willing to work with us for a fair trade in value and purchase value. Thanks for the great experience. We will be back in the future if we every need a new car.

Satisfied customers

Kile Kendall provided personalized and courteous service that was low key and allowed us to purchase a used Prius that was right for our needs. We also purchased a Prius 12 years ago at Kenny Thomas' Olathe Toyota and were satisfied with customer service over this time period. My wife and I are satisfied customers.

Went above and beyond

We had been searching for a 2014 Highlander for a while and saw that this dealership had the model we wanted. We worked with Brett Garcia via the internet chat, email, and on the phone a couple days before. Usually I hate working with salesmen and especially car salesmen, however Brett changed my perception because he went above and beyond. We came from out of town and planned on purchasing the vehicle that morning and drive home. Unfortunately, when we got there they didn't have the specific model we wanted. Sure a bit disappointed, but we knew that the model was quite popular. We were told that they expected more to come in but of those more than half had already been sold. We do not fault Brett or the dealership at all for this but it just shows that Toyota is a great brand/vehicle to get and it's just hard to keep up with the demand. He and his manager or possibly the owner (his name escapes me) were very friendly and even gave us another option of offering to try and locate their demo model but it was the wrong color so we didn't want to waste their time. They had even searched to see if they could get a trade from their other contacts, but trades aren't done on Saturdays and it sounded like there weren't any to trade anyways. . Although we didn't drive off with the vehicle we wanted, I do recommend this dealership and especially Brett.

Great Experience!

We recently purchased a new Toyota 4-Runner. We had been to other dealers, but Olathe Toyota fought for our business and gave us the best deal possible. We worked with Dennis Crego and he did an amazing job.

Great customer service

Had a pleasant experience at Olathe Toyota with my new vehicle purchase. My sales consultant, Kendall was great to work with. ...very professional and met our needs. Bobby in finance was also helpful and managed to get Toyota Finance to beat what my bank was offering. Debbie in the admin office went the extra mile and and assisted us in getting our vehicle titled out of state. Overall the customer service at Olathe Toyota was top notch!

Cost me a car!!!

Absolutely horrible service work. I took my car in for some work, the water pump went out and I had I towed there. They replaced my water pump and suggested I replace the cam seal, which I did. Something when terribly wrong with my car and the engine locked up. I received a phone call from Debbie saying I needed a new engine without them even looking at the car. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to another mechanic. He diagnosed the problem and determined it was a faulty cam seal replacement which they had replaced. I had it towed to Kenny Thomas again. They replaced the cam seal and got it driving again, it wasn't but two days when the engine started making loud thumping noises near the top of the engine. Their faulty work on the installment of the cam seal made oil leak out of my engine, made it lock up, and damaged the motor. I called them to discuss this and now they want me to pay to have a new engine put in it and will NOT own up to their mistake. I will NEVER buy a Toyota from them or take any car there to have work done on it. Absolute RIP OFF! They have cost me a car!

Dealer response

The vehicle that ct627 is discussing was towed into us with no oil in it and the engine was locked up.We did recomend a new (or used) engine. The vehicle was than towed to the customers friends house. The friend was able to get the crankshaft to turn over, this is something we wouldnt have performed as the damage is allready done once the engine has siezed. The customer than called me and wanted me to look at it.He said his friend got it running.I scheduled him in and than he told me the car needed to be towed in.I really thought that was odd, he told me the car was running and yet he needed to tow it in.We brought it in and did discover that the cam seal WAS defective. However the valve cover was also leaking. There was oil everywhere.Due to the fact that we did have a defective cam seal I told him I would tear down the motor and see how much damage there was.The car had clearly been run out of oil.How much liability would we take on for this i was open to discuss with customer.I believe some of the fault lies with customer as he chose to drive the car with oil light on and leaving a oily mess everywhere he went.Thats negligant on customers part. Before we were able to tear down engine customer called back and said he didnt want us touching it and he would tow it back to his friend.I once again offered to look at it and determine what we needed to do to get it running and would NOT charge for diag., but customer will only bring it in if we agree to pay for his negligence.Anyone driving a vehicle has some amount of responsibility in making sure the car has oil in it and raising question or checking level when oil light comes on and or oil puddles (5 quarts worth) are not just ignored

Consumer response

As I told the dealership earlier, I park in a different location EVERY SINGLE DAY. I lived at an apartment complex when the issues occurred and work at a location where parking isn't assigned. If the part was put in the CORRECT way in the beginning the issue would have never happened. I take some responsibility for this but I also don't check my oil every week since I only drive it to work and back. It is the dealerships responsibility to check their work BEFORE it is given back to the customer. If this would have been done in the first place you guys would have realized the part was faulty. You guys weren't out money by paying for the labor that you make money off of. Do you really pay your mechanic $115.00 an hour? NO. Regardless, you guys stink and I am never taking a car or recommending you to anyone. I was fine paying for some of the engine but not all of it, that wasn't fair. You guys had my car for almost a MONTH. Why would I trust a company that recommends I replace something then not stand by their work? It is bs and horrible business practices. This is the first and last time I will take my car to a Toyota Dealership.

Knowledgeable and helpful

We came from out of town to purchase a car, and our salesman was not only helpful, but very knowledgeable as well. The car was clean, yet Brett took it back to the service area to clean a few more spots to his standards. Everything was exactly as presented with the car, and everyone was helpful.

Purchase Experience

We had a very positive experience with Olathe Toyota. Kendall Kyle was our Sales Consultant who pleasantly guided us through the process of buying a new car. He, without pressure, asked what we were interested in,answered our questions, and offered alternatives meeting our wants and needs. Mr. Kyle was knowledgeable and informative. We felt at ease through the entire transaction. All the representatives at Olathe Toyota were polite, respectful and made us feel comfortable. We are satisfied and happy with our purchase. Bill and Marion Dowden

Great experience!

We were extremely pleased with our visit to Olathe Toyota! Brett Garcia was helpful and courteous from the moment I inquired about the car I was interested in. He responded to my initial email promptly and answered all my many questions. I have already recommended your dealership and Brett to friends. We were treated like we were the only customers in the place on that busy night! It was a great experience and we love our car! Thank you!
