Other than dropping the base model, changes to the BMW XM are minimal for 2026.

BMW is showing off new in-car video and gaming offerings, as well as an upcoming AI-powered voice assistant and automated parking functions.

The 2023 XM is modern, luxurious and loaded with tech. It also has the performance buyers in the category are looking for.

In trying to be both a performance SUV and a luxury SUV, the 2023 XM falls short of both goals, with a ride so jarringly firm it’s unpleasant as a daily driver.

BMW says the 2024 XM Label Red can make the sprint to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph or 175 mph with the available M Driver’s Package.

As a head turner, the 2023 BMW XM is a slam-dunk success. It’s based off of the XM concept car from 2021, and the styling has carried over almost entirely intact, for better or worse.
