Detroit Bureau Chief

Aaron Bragman

Detroit Bureau Chief Aaron Bragman has had over 25 years of experience in the auto industry as a journalist, analyst, purchasing agent and program manager. Bragman grew up around his father’s classic Triumph sports cars (which were all sold and gone when he turned 16, much to his frustration) and comes from a Detroit family where cars put food on tables as much as smiles on faces. Today, he’s a member of the Automotive Press Association and the Midwest Automotive Media Association. His pronouns are he/him, but his adjectives are fat/sassy.

Despite the 2025 Ram 1500 REV not looking nearly as wild as the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept, the production model should still be a hit.
Fantastic to look at, outstanding to drive, but only comfortable in the front seats, the all-new 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan provides an intriguing alternative for the EV SUV-averse.
Subaru simply needed to not screw up a good thing with the redesigned 2024 Crosstrek. Mission accomplished.
The 2022 Lexus NX 450+ Plug-in Hybrid in full electric mode is perfectly excellent to drive — it doesn’t feel pokey or limited in the slightest.
Smooth, sure-footed, comfortable and upscale, the longer 2023 Land Rover Defender 130’s extra room makes an already desirable luxury SUV even more so.
A really solid redesign makes the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a categorically better truck than ever, with only a couple of caveats.
The 2024 Encore GX comes with new tech, new styling and a new range-topping Avenir trim level if you want to buy the nicest version you can get.
Buick has freshened the 2024 Encore GX’s look, given it a new cabin, thrown in some new display technology and added a range-topping Avenir trim like the rest of its all-crossover lineup.
The actual production Ram 1500 REV bears little resemblance to the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept shown at CES and the Chicago Auto Show.
As a head turner, the 2023 BMW XM is a slam-dunk success. It’s based off of the XM concept car from 2021, and the styling has carried over almost entirely intact, for better or worse.
