Ford’s rough recent stretch of recalls continues with a new directive for nearly 3 million vehicles over a bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission.

To help shoppers of all ages choose a budget-friendly, dependable and safe vehicle, IIHS and Consumer Reports identified the best new and used cars for teens in their annual report.

Approximately 2.15 million 2011-15 Ford and Lincoln vehicles are being recalled for their door latches.

There are many reasons to celebrate the end of the year and the turning 
 over of a new year. Well, unless you're one of the vehicles on this list that 
 won't be surviving to see 2019.

Approximately 49,000 model-year 2012-15 Ford Focus Electric and model-
 year 2013-15 Fusion Energi and C-Max Energi electric vehicles are being 
 recalled.

With sales fizzling, two unpopular hybrids will be unplugged for 2018: the 
 Toyota Prius v hybrid and the Ford C-Max hybrid and plug-in.

Between that last-hurrah cookout and a slate of good college-football 
 matchups, you may want to add car shopping to your Labor Day 
 weekend.
