1999 Acura TL consumer reviews

I bought a 1999 two weeks ago car is a total cream puff has 67 thousand miles on it. Drives like a brand new car. Has every option available. Heated seats premium bose stereo CD and cassette navigation system leather interior not a tear or nick in it. And will pin you back in the seat. Does anyone know the horsepower rating ? What is this car worth with the extremely low milage? Wouldn't think of selling it just want to know what kinda deal I got. I have been driving trucks and suvs for 40 years this car is really a joy to drive. Bought it as a Sunday car body is strait paint is awesome for its age having a lot of fun driveing it. What can I do to the motor to get some more horse power out of it. Would love some advice.

I've owned this car since 2003. Current miles 333,620! However, I have had to change parts. A new transmission at 200,000 miles. New radiator and oil pump at 275,000. Where the costs unreasonable? Not really. For a brand that's touted to last 200,000 miles it has done quite well. Part of it has to be because I use the same dealer. Whenever I have ventured to another to save a buck I've inevitably had the dealer repair the earlier repair! Learned my lesson. Use the dealer, even if it costs a bit more.

Bought this car from the original owner with 119k miles on it over a year and a half ago. Absolutely love it...for a 99 it has almost every function you would want heated seats and mirrors, power everything, can control the radio from the steering wheel. It has such a smooth ride but also has a lot of power as well with out being a gas hog. Like other reviews have said if you take care of it then it'll take care of you. I've owned cars 9 years newer than this one that didn't drive and ride half as nice as this one. Also the bose sound system sounds amazing i get compliments on it all the time. I plan on this car lasting well beyond 300k.

In 1999, Acura was way ahead of there time with all the bells and whistles a car could offer for the time, and then some. They also made sure the car had pleanty of power with the 3.2l V6 VTEC motor. It was quiet on city streets but on the highway at WOT you could hear the raw power the car provided. It will definitely put a smile on any drivers face with over 300hp from the factory. The xenon hid headlights gave you clear vision in the night and they were way ahead of there time when they implemented these in there 90s models. The power heated seats and mirrors never get old.

In a word Awesome. The car was perfect. I am saving for a newer tl and anyone who never had one test drive and i guarantee you would buy it.

This car meets all my needs with complete leather inside and out all electric options, doors, Windows, seats, including touch screen navigation. for a 99 it was all very impressive to me. This car handles like a dream with enough power to make any move on the Road you need to.

I got very lucky and got this car used for 1200. Currently has 197000km 19 years later. Transmission shifts very fast, very comfortable, and the speed is actually surprising. It's a bit of a pig on gas, but if you drive conservatively you can get 600km to a tank.

I really like the style, the comfort and the quick response. The ease of driving is great. The leather is still in very good condition. The trunk is large and the cargo net is awesome.
