  • 97 Astro mach3 AWD. HigStrong beautiful inside and

soft leather seats and real wood accents, mood lighting, tv, vcr, multi cd changer, runs strong. Only issue was electric door locks. Overall great value for money. Also brought me back to younger years, my secrets safe with first drive in in his Astro van. Very much like thr one i just had to sell. Just too expensive to mody into a wheelchair van. Live it, just sold today. Sadly. Loved this van. So comfortable to drive.

  • Not too bad

It could have been better on gas but overall considering what I paid for it very good van. Only broke down a couple of times in a five year span. Had a rod knocking when purchased went to Texas and back, Tulsa and back many times engine blew up here in town.

  • Amazing vehicle

AWD Astro goes anywhere and carries almost anything in any weather. Great engine and so easy to drive. Don't understand why Chev quit making them. Maybe they are too reliable? This is my second one, the first lasted way over 400K!

  • Good for 100,000

Many electronics issues - Fuel gauge never worked - wiper motor had to be replaced, and replaced again - Lights in front storage compartment would not go off - Power windows good till 100,000mi. Engine cooling system - does not last until recommended service schedule Rear air - coolant line runs overand across the transmission, and contacts it enough to rub through it. Major pain to fix - dealer's cannot find this! Had to be repaired 3 times in 125,000mi - EXPENSIVE! Great ride - very comfortable for 7 Bought ours in 1998 with 39,000 miles - drove it when it was not in the shop to 168,000 miles in 2004.

  • All around good vehicle.

i have 268,000 miles on mine. some repairs. rear air conditioner has been repaired a few times and this is costly. but the vehicle can tow, fit 8 people which most vans can only seat 7. of course that is with the bench seats. rear heat is rare find on one. never buy one without rear air the people in the back seats cannot stay cool. it is difficullt without back heat for the back seat people to stay warm. the engine i have has never been rebuilt. you have to watch the radiator fluid. the temp gauge will not register without fluid in the engine. the turning ratio is 4 inches to 1 inch turn that means that for every 4 inches of turn on the steering wheel it will turn 1 inch. some road walking does occur. it is not a honda or something. overall the van will run and perform for years for your family. i live in a metro area and mine runs great still. small trailers pull well, i have a 9 foot. tinted windows are a must.

  • Impossibly Good

120k miles as still as dependable as when I bought it at 80k miles. Some oil leaks occurred which the dealer fixed. Other than that I've towed a 2 ton trailer for 3 years and everything stays strong.
