Chevrolet made great strides in turning the Traverse into a more tech-laden, comfortable, all-terrain-capable mid-size SUV with last year’s full redesign. The entry-level Traverse LT comes packed with popular features, and its 17.7-inch touchscreen is extremely user-friendly. There’s plenty of room for adults in all three rows, and cargo space behind the third row is generous, too. Off-road adventurers will appreciate the Z71 trim and its go-anywhere gear, including a more rugged suspension, all-terrain tires and underbody skid plate. The Traverse’s demerits include a coarse-sounding engine, vague on-center steering feel (particularly noticeable at highway speeds) and a few budget-looking trim pieces in the cabin.
