Great car!

It is comfortable, quiet and safe. We drive our grandchildren around in this car and feel confident that they will always be safe. It is roomy enough for kids, grands and luggage. Love this car.

Stylish, Comfortable, Powerful

A really great car. It has comfortable interior with a stylish, sporty exterior. I love the V6 EcoBoost engine. It allows for responsive driving and towing.

First car with kids. Well worth it.

I loved this vehicle. It was my first ?mommy car? BUT it?s nice and stylish not a mini van:). Comfy, has two sun roofs (kids love that), and has two tv screens (kids really loved that).

2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor

I like the way the vehicle handles. This particular vehicle was in need of service, namely brakes and oil change. It briefly failed to move once when I shifted into Reverse -- the engine cut off, and I could not restart for about 5 minutes. I'm not sure what caused that. While I consider that to be serious, I have not been able to reproduce the problem. Otherwise, it's a great vehicle.

Great Car

Great vehicle. Fun to drive. Folding third row seats are useful for hauling anything and everything. Car was comfortable and reliable on trip from Texas to Washington.

Love It

I drove a 98 Explorer to the ground so when my wife needed a big safe reliable vehicle, I know I wanted to get an Explorer all over again. The exterior design makes this car look as awesome as it is to drive. I love the room with the third seat folded down. Only wish was that we went with the Limited Package.

Stay away from all ford vehicles

At only 3 years old the paint started bubbling and peeling off all over my hood and tailgate. This is a very common issue with all ford vehicles because of how they make/finish the aluminum on the hood and lift gate. The paint isn?t able to adhere to the aluminum so it bubbles up and peels off in large chunks even though there isn?t a spot of rust. Ford will always deny your claim saying you drive on the highway to much or wash your vehicle to much. Check out the Facebook group ?ford /mercury peeling paint complaints? and you will see how many people have this. Also, when your check engine light comes on after 80,000 miles and it?s for a crank shaft sensor or cam shaft sensor error, don?t let your dealership tell you I doesn?t mean anything and clear the code for you. It means your timing chain is stretching out and causing timing problems in your motor. Once it finally stretches out far enough and comes out of position then if your lucky it will only cost you about $2500 to replace the timing chain. Or if your unlucky like me, then you will be told your timing chain stretched out and came out of position and hit the pistons in the motor and now your motor needs replaced and even with a used motor it will cost over $5500 to replace because it?s 25 billable hours for the job. Throughout the whole process don?t even waste your time calling ford to see what they will do to remedy the situation because all they will do is make false promises and lead you on for weeks and weeks giving you a never ending run around and then will reject your claim and say there is nothing else they can do for you. Even if they have been giving you the run around for 9 weeks while your car sits and waits to be repaired they think there is nothing wrong with that and they won?t offer to cover even part of the repair. Ford has by far the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with and it?s amazing that they keep any customers. Unless the dealership you bought you car from is amazing and willing to fight ford for you then you will get nothing covered from ford ever. Stay away!!!
