  • While the Focus Electric is a good-looking EV, I would

While the Focus Electric is a good-looking EV, I would recommend not getting one, nor purchasing an EV from Ford, as they do not honor what the high voltage battery warranty states. When it comes to battery warranty work, Ford picks and chooses what parts INSIDE the battery are deemed to be replaceable by the warranty, even if the warranty book that comes with the car states the high voltage battery pack is covered for 8 years! This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. These cars are known for having coolant leaks in the battery pack, contactors fail, high voltage fuse failures, and 1 speed gear drive failures. I recently paid my local Ford dealership $240 to replace a high voltage fuse in the battery junction box (precharge circuit) that should have been covered by the warranty. 2 weeks later, and now the car won't turn on once again, some I stuck with a paper weight in my backyard!

  • Excellent cheap EV for a doubter to try out.

Original owner of a 2017 now with 69,000 miles. Great commuter and for running errands. Only maintenance costs were tires and the 12volt battery (not the EV battery). Motor and transmission were replaced a year ago for free under warranty due to trans bearing failure. It took them 2 months but free to me. My net cost new was $15k and it is worth that today.

  • Great car. No maintenance. Cost 2 - 3cents/mile.

Have a 2013 FFE with 100,000 miles on it. In service 8 years. So we got another FFE 2017. Range is even more and can fast charge in many locations for free.

  • Great electric vehicle!

I love the car already and we have had it only a short time. All the extras included in the car, power seats, lighted mirror, dual air conditioning allowance and the leather seats. There are more perks too, but this should give you a fair view of our feelings.
