Major problems with transmission,

If I could give zero ratings I would this is the worst most unsafe unreliable money pit of a car I've ever owned 2005 Ford Taurus 97148 original miles problems with shifting. It's unsafe to drive.Im a single mother I've had to cancel my son last 2 Diabetes clinic app. Because the Ford Taurus is not reliable and I think Ford Motor company should do the repairs for free there was a recall

Best car I've owned

Was a previous rental. Owned it almost 10 years, never had a problem. Good power, comfortable, lots of room. Be aware these tend to have transmission issues, but this one didn't. Change fluids often, and you should have no problems for many more years.

Sound, reliable car. Gets you there. I like it.

Meets all my needs. Beware of blind spot on passenger side. You might hit a police car. That is, if you are short like me. Understated but dependable.

An economical car to own.

This was a great family car in it's time. It was reliable, had excellent to good gas milage over it's lifespan, and was just all-around easy to drive. I just had the basic features, & it served its purpose, nothing extraordinarily fancy about it. I bought the Taurus when it was 3 yrs old, & had it for 11 yrs. This was probably beyond it's normal lifespan, as the transmission failed a yr & half before I sold it & got something newer. It was a great car that had a good life!

Good car. Even after high mileage still runs.

Good overall car. Very low gas mileage though. 110846 on mile meter and only get 14.5 mpg city.new air filter gas pump, flex fuel sensor. Slash sensor did all I could to fix only went up 1 mpg . Fast for the car it is. 3.0 v6 Vulcan beat a hemi in a drag so it's fast for a granny car interrior could be better but it's a 05 what can you expect. Great first car and even better last car. Just need to put gas in it every other day
