What Is the 2025 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster?
The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster is a boxy, off-road-focused, mid-size crew-cab pickup truck that seats five people. It’s a variant of the Ineos Grenadier SUV (which we review separately); both vehicles take their inspiration from classic Land Rover Defender models. Like its SUV sibling, the Quartermaster is powered by a BMW-sourced 282-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine that’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Quartermasters come standard with solid front and rear axles, full-time four-wheel drive with low-range gearing, and a locking center differential.
The interior is a mix of modern and deliberately old-school controls. Perched atop the dashboard is a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity. The lower section of the center console is a riot of buttons, exposed screwheads, dials and metal accent pieces. The Grenadier Quartermaster’s throwback design, luxury-vehicle positioning and $85,000-plus starting price mean it doesn’t really have direct pickup rivals, but it could be cross-shopped with high-end off-road trims of the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, GMC Canyon, Jeep Gladiator and Toyota Tacoma.

Should I Buy the 2025 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster?
The Grenadier Quartermaster is a rugged vehicle designed for traversing the roughest terrain. Cabin ambiance isn’t posh for a luxury-priced vehicle, but its high-quality materials and old-school controls should appeal to the right customer. Its upright shape provides ample headroom, but rear legroom isn’t generous. The Quartermaster’s throwback exterior design is all sharp angles and flat surfaces; you might mistake it for a decades-old pickup — which is a key part of its appeal for some shoppers. That said, the Quartermaster can be less endearing when it comes to on-road driving manners. Its steering is vague, heavy and doesn’t self-center when turning around corners.
