Release Date and Pricing

The 2026 Kia Niro EV will go on sale later this year. The base Niro EV Wind starts at $41,195, and the uplevel Wave is priced from $46,195.

Trim Levels and Safety Features

On the entry-level Niro EV Wind, Kia’s Drive Wise safety suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, navigation-based adaptive cruise control that can adjust speed in anticipation of upcoming curves, lane-centering steering, lane departure warning and steering assist, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams and rear parking sensors.

Other standard features on the Wind include keyless entry and start, 17-inch wheels, a heated windshield, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated side mirrors, LED taillights and a power liftgate. Inside, you’ll find heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone automatic climate control. Cabin tech consists of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, six speakers, and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Niro EV Wave is differentiated by chrome and gloss-black exterior trim in place of the Wind’s silver and matte black, as well as LED front lighting and a moonroof. Inside, it features perforated synthetic leather upholstery, a power front-passenger seat, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, aluminum pedals and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The Wave also adds Kia’s hands-on Highway Driving Assist 2 semi-autonomous driving technology, blind spot intervention, front parking sensors and automated parking.
