2018 Kia Soul consumer reviews

My 2018 Kia Soul has 220,000+ miles and she’s still on the road! I bought a 2025 Kia Soul as well and hope she lasts as long as!

I bought this car in November 2025 it's had a check engine light pop on immediately after purchasing it. When you are slowing down you can feel it shift hard and you can feel it jerk you forward. Also after purchasing this car I was told by the dealership that the catalytic converter is gone bad the O2 sensor has been fixed we've swapped out new brake pads cuz the original ones that came with the car were shot . And when you take off from a dead stop like at a red light it kind of feels like there's air in the line like it shimmys forward . When I first got the car I had to tell the dealership three or four times then it had cockroaches in the car and they have it fixed that problem also they told me they couldn't replicate any of the problems I'm feeling when it's idling you can feel it in your seat. And when you look at the engine while it's on you can see it shaking a little bit . I think it's motor mounts but the dealership I bought the car from says that's normal for a four-cylinder engine to shake like that. Then go to find out that the safety feature that registers the airbag doesn't even work . Overall imitated to one of the worst Vehicles I've ever purchased Maybe if it was in good working condition it would be a good car but from my experience it's a negative one out of 100 .

Purchased my first ever vehicle yesterday from Mose Smith at CARmazone. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Pat (AKA the man in the tower😁) was such a nice and funny guy. This is my third Kia vehicle and up until this one I was very happy. This one uses a lot of oil. Had it to Kia for three oil consumption tests and a combustion engine clean out which they told me all was good, however I am still having to add two to three quarts of oil between routine oil changes.

Bought from Honda Dealer as used 2018 Soul+ with 36,000 miles in April 2020 for $14,000 - depressed pricing due to COVID impact then. Replaced 2000 Toyota Sienna van with almost 300,000 miles (still going strong!). Soul has 56,000 miles now and has been trouble-free. We like the Soul for it's spaciousness, modern electronics, backup camera, good looks, excellent ride. Now worth about $3,000 more two years later!

I'm 6ft 310, 65 yrs old and love driving it. Easy entry and exit, bought used. Previous owner had Michelins 205 55 16 put on. Rides like a dream. Everyone needs one!

The Kia Soul is bigger inside than you would anticipate. It drives smooth and handles well. It is sharp in appearance and the interior is comfortable.

If had met all of my needs. It is also super adorable for a teenage girl like myself. I highly recommend Kia Soul’s to everyone I know. Especially young drivers.

Any car is better than the PT Cruiser we traded in, but love this like new KIA Soul Exclaim so far. A HAPPY WIFE IS A HAPPY LIFE. Wish there were more to choose from in this covid 19 affected auto market
