The Right Blend of capability, comfort and ability

Outdoorsman Trim, 4x4, 5.7 and 6 speed. I bought this truck used in 2020 with 76,000 miles. It looked new and had excellent fit and finish. Car Fax showed 1 owner and well maintained. I always want to drive it everywhere as it is comfortable and smooth. Many modern features in an older truck. Gets about 17 mpg at 65 mph. I tow a travel trailer occassionally. Fitted RAM with E rated tires, Bilsteins and Tuff Truk springs. Great match for my trailer. Engine failed at 132,000 miles due to poorly designed rollers seizing. Do i replace engine or buy new Truck? Love the truck too much. Still in incredibly nice condition so a new engine for $8700 dollars was the decision. Plan to keep the truck as long as possible.

Awesome truck and wish I could get another new one

Bought my 2013 Ram 1500 Express regular cab 4X4 with 5.7 Hemi new in 2013 and it now has 207,500 miles! I did replace a lifter and cam at 187,000 miles last July which does happen with the 5.7 but I did the repairs myself so cost was minimal with just parts. Since I had to do that why not go bigger!!! Bigger cam, eliminate VVT and MDS, headers, Hi flow oil pump, etc and a custom tune!!! Replace brakes every 70,000 miles and on my third set of tires but I now switch between summer and winter tires. Just put new shocks and struts on this last fall. Only has one small rust spot on right rear wheel opening which is really good for NW Ohio! I plan to keep this truck running and on the road at least another 200,000 and ten more years.

2013 Ram 4X4

Bought truck and in less than 2000 miles then the 2 rear pinion bearings went bad. The same day the engine started acting like it was running on 7 cylinders. Cam and bearings went bead, I'm 70 and don't abuse my vehicles $6000+ later its gone. I guess this is a very common occurrence. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL....................

Ram pick-ups

I have had ford, GM, And Dodge Ram. I will say this, ALL of the Rams that I have had out preforms any of the rest! I have purchased all of them new, I take care of whatever I drive. The only xxxxx I have with Ram is the tires, 20,000 miles is about all I can get out of them. I feel that if you pay 50k for something, you should get more miles out of the tires! The MPG is better than the rest. the 2016 I had, got 38 MPG and it was a 5.7, I made it From Dayton, Ohio to Tuscaloosa Alabama on 1 tank of gas, 26 gal tank!

Don't buy 5.7 hemi it's crap

75000 miles lifter failure 3000 to repair if cam damaged 6000 to repair. Mechanic at garage tells me he has seen dozens of rams come in with this problem. Bad engine design and xxxx quality of parts from China. Going to replace engine it won't be a 5.7 hemi. A friend has over 300000 on his 5.3 GMC motor.

Check Ram if used

This truck is very expensive to repair. Had to put a engine in after only having for a year with low miles. I am currently still having so many electrical problems along with constantly replacing this darn key fob, which is always having a issue with starting my truck. My 2004 Ram was better, wished I had kept it instead up upgrading years ago

love a ram hemi

bought truck new in 2013 has been good to me so far dont know why other people have trouble with them have owned several rams over the years and had good luck didnt really do any work to truck till it hit 55000 miles and changed the 30000 mile interval sparkplugs thought the 30000 miles was to soon have been offroad and on road pull a trailer and hauled several times love these trucks grew up riding in fords they are more trouble then people let on to be

Exhaust manifold keep needing to be repair.

2013 Dodge Ram 1500. Exhaust manifold keep needing to get repaired. It's all street miles. 74,000. Why isn't there a recall? It would be a great truck if the manifold was good.

Car sold to me with electrical issues

At first I loved this car until it started to break down and it came to my attention that Suburban had sold me a car with extreme electrical problems and now my vehicle is no longer in commission. They over priced this vehicle and are unwilling to help.

Great Truck So Far

So far, so good. I have only had my "new to me" Ram for a week. It is a great truck and has everything I needed. Except for a CD player which I purchased and put in. Looking forward to having this truck for a long time. And this is coming from a Ford guy
