What Is the 2025 Tesla Model X?
The Tesla Model X is a mid-size electric SUV that seats five, six or seven people depending on configuration. The Model X’s dashboard layout includes a 17-inch central touchscreen and very little else. Helping to create an airy atmosphere is a windshield that extends up and over the front passenger seats. The Model X’s rivals include the BMW iX, Cadillac Vistiq, Lucid Gravity, Mercedes-EQ EQS SUV and Rivian R1S.

Should I Buy the 2025 Tesla Model X?
Ever since it launched for the 2016 model year, the Model X has been hard to categorize. In some ways, it’s a practical electric SUV with ample cabin room and cargo space. The available third row is another plus for electric-vehicle buyers who need extra passenger capacity. Less appealing are some of the Model X’s quirks, such as its rear gull-wing-style doors and available 22-inch wheels, which make the ride brittle and bumpy over rough roads. Driving range remains excellent, however, and the high-performance Plaid trim is ludicrously quick. Still, time marches on, and the 2025 Model X faces a lot more competition than it did a decade ago. A number of competing EVs have comparable driving range and interiors that are more lavishly appointed than the Model X’s.
