Comfortable, quiet, loaded with electronics

The intermittent wipers have not worked and the voice prompts for the phone and navigation system do NOT work. All I get is platitudes and promises from the dealer that "a fix is on the way".

New Highlander

We did test drive several other SUV during the months leading up to the purchase of the new SUV. This helped us decided on the Highlander. We did own a 2009 highlander and really liked it and found the same quality in the newer highlander.

Broken GPS in Platinum model

Purchased this car in January and still waiting for a fix for the broken GPS functionality. No audio without restarting the car multiple times. Speech assistance similarly does not work. It is absurd that this widespread problem has not been addressed in a nearly $50,000 car.

Best Value

Excellent buy and value for the money. Many extra features we unaware of until we purchased the vehicle and started driving it. Comfortable and durable.

Own the 2019 Platinum Highlander

Big disappointment. Non of the voice command work. To get the voice for GPS you have to start the engine twice and if you stop for any reason. You have to do the procedure all over again. If you are driving and need the GPS you have to come to a complete stop and turn off the engine and restart. Can’t wait to get rid of it .

Highlander

Plenty of room. Plenty of cup holders and usb chargers. Very comfortable. Lots of leg room, holds lots of equipment and third row seating is a bonus

Only One Major Complaint

I traded in a 2016 Highlander for a 2019. The new Highlander is very similar to the old one, with one key exception. The 2019 is equipped with an automatic start/stop feature that turns off the engine every time you come to a complete halt. There is no way to permanently turn off this feature; you have to remember to push the dashboard control switch every time you start the car. Now that I have owned the car for a few weeks, I find this feature so annoying that I seriously regret buying the car.

Just purchased 5 days ago but love it!

I was looking for something to replace a 20 year old dodge ram and decided to go with the highlander for it's size, capacity to tow my utility trailer and the comfort in the way it rides.

Best mid size SUV, with best fuel efficiency ever!

Great car, extremely comfortable too. Mt Airy Toyota made car shopping easy and their honesty was refreshing. I highly recommend both the vehicle and dealership.
