I contacted East Bay BMW with an interest in the i4 edrive40. I was very fortunate that Bobby Padilla responded as the salesperson for me. Bobby is what you hope for, but rarely get. He was personable and knowledgeable from the start. East Bay BMW had several i4 edrive40 cars on the lot. He spoke with me and my wife as we said what we were looking for. He started with an offer for a test drive, with just me and my wife in the car. A new experience for us! Bobby was no-pressure and patient with us at all times throughout with excellent support pre- and postsale. I also want to recognize Nicholas Harris for his friendly, upbeat assistance with configuring our car; there are many options, of course, and he showed us what was available, but he also suggested configs that would be best for me and my wife. I was unsure how charging with a Tesla station would work for me. With the right adapter, he drove me to a retail Tesla station and stepped me through the process. I had to drive to LA in the next couple of days, and I used Tesla stations with complete confidence. I'd have no hesitation to contact either Bobby or Nicholas in the future. Highly recommend East Bay BMW, and ask to work with Bobby and Nicholas. They are a great team.

Jake, my rep, was really the workhorse though. Jake took notes of everything I said I wanted, but then took it several steps further and brought up features I didn’t even know I needed! I thought Tesla held the title for longest range, until he introduced me to Lucid, which I test drove the 2023 Lucid Air… incredible. I needed some “hand holding” to figure out what I wanted, but Jake did that for me and I’m grateful.

2024 BMW i5 review
This car is simply amazing. It's my second electric car and my first BMW. The i5 gives me what I never knew I was missing from my previous car (Tesla Model 3). First, the comfort and silence of the i5's cabin is significantly better than anything I've driven before. It takes the bumps so comfortably and I love how my trips on the interstate are surprisingly quiet inside. The styling is gorgeous, too. Classic BMW sedan look, brought a few years into the future. Great balance between aggressive and refined. Inside, I love the giant display. Everything's there in sight, without having to switch back and forth between screens. Plus, I have just the right amount of physical controls so I don't have to use the touch screen all the time. Finally, the performance is incredible. I've got several modes to choose from, to fit my driving for the trip. Sport is obviously my favorite, especially with the sounds that are included! This was definitely the most expensive vehicle I've bought, but overall, I have no regrets... fit, finish, and feature-set are all top notch.
