I had been looking at C3 Corvette's for almost 2 years and I finally found my 1979 Corvette with Glass T Tops and a 4-speed manual transmission and a very clean interior and very clean interior. Very good looking Corvette and they called me earlier today and the shipper told me it was ready to be shipped out, so I should have my dream car next weekend. No heat. No gas gauge & me R/L challenged so I never knew when I flipped the floor lever if it was the reserve tank or the reg. tank. We crammed 9 people into her a few times & drove around for a weekend everywhere.Carburetor problems resolved with a stick tied to keep it open to suck air. Got over 30 mpg! Raced a 55 Chev from a stop-Beat him! My brother got his license 2 yrs later & borrowed & rolled her! All 4 got out safe! Body flat, chassis fine. New body from junkyard & somehow MY car became HIS. LOL!

professional..however a lot of the cars they are selling don't run or need extensive work..it makes me feel the ads are a bit deceptive..not disclosing that info upfront..I wouldn't have wasted my time pursuing these vehicles

I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

Have owned Cayennes, 911s, 911 turbos and this Cayman over the past 35 years. This car is my favorite, based on reliability, fun, performance and practicality. Still runs exactly the same as when I bought it.

Iconic car, which just get better with age, these cars are worth more money every year. The performance the style, Screams Sport car..... The 80'S Porsche will continue to be the legend of Porsche cars.

The 1963-1967 Corvette Sting Ray, known as the C2, is one of the most loved American cars ever. Over the 5 year run of the Sting Ray body style, there were many engine options available. The cars were fast, stylish and handled exceptionally well for the time. I was fortunate enough to buy one more than 30 years ago and I still own it today.
