2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review
I have had the XLE with some upgrade options as a company fleet vehicle. I have driven it about 12,000 miles in six months from 36k to 48k miles, now. I use it as a work vehicle for sales calls and some personal use. Here’s my plusses and minuses. Plusses: 1. Acceleration is strong and quick. Great for merges and when you need to pass. Amazing for a car this big. 2. While I have not calculated mileage, it is amazing and definitely as good or better than the rating. 3. Space and layout is good. I generally use it with all the rear seats down, though. Only a little family use and it was okay. 4. Reliability. Not a single problem and I think the first rep abused the car and took poor care of it. Minuses: 1. Engine is loud when gas kicks in. Would be unacceptably loud in a luxury car. 2. Comfort is mediocre. Large flat hard seats. Might be better if you are bigger. 3. Tech. Small screen, annoying beeps, lane keep adjusts too hard and would not kick in on a cold snowy day. Maybe the sensor was frozen but should not have. Apple CarPlay is what you want to use. Adaptive cruise tends to keep pushing you back to increase distances. Some cars you can set it, not sure on this. It’s annoying when you’re trying to maintain distance in a fast lane and it’s pushing you back. Also, on curvy roads, almost any curve it auto-brakes gently. You have to turn it off on mountain roads or you’ll make everyone sick. Overall, it is a great car on performance and average or mediocre on everything else. I would recommend the car as a reliable family hauler or work car as I use it. I have a Hyundai Palisade Limited (gas) and if you didn’t want a hybrid I’d totally go Hyundai as it’s way nicer on comfort and Hyundai tech is far better. To be fair, my Palisade is a higher trim but I don’t think the Toyota is that much better on higher trims and tech won’t improve.

2017 Volkswagen Golf review
I have a 130k on mine and it runs better than a Swiss watch. No major issues, ever! comfortable, fast and easy on fuel. It has everything that I need and nothing that I do not. Clearly the high point of the Golf's evolution. I am dreading finding a replacement as nothing on the market today comes close to being such a complete car.

Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel review
Let me start off by saying that the facility was exceptional. I was helped by Saif. He went out of his way to provide pictures before I made my trip up from San Diego. I didn’t end up getting the vehicle, but I did appreciate all the efforts that the dealership made to make the experience comfortable for me and my wife. They were very transparent and upfront with pricing for the vehicle I was looking at and I felt like they were actually being honest salesman. They also didn’t pressure me into a sale. It felt like everything was at the pace. I wanted it to be. Best luck to this dealership.
2020 Honda Accord review
Love my 2020 Accord EX-L...very roomy and it has a very comfortable interior. It has a few things missing that surprises me on an EX-L trim such as courtesy lights in the doors. Honda has the knockouts but no wiring harness. The lights are only available on the most expensive Touring model which is ridiculous as this is a $20 item. Honda also has chosen to not have the lights on the trunk light up when you hit the brakes...they are only reflectors but do light up on the Touring model. I HOPE AND PRAY THAT MY PAINT DOES NOT CHIP OFF LIKE IS HAPPENING ON SO MANY HONDA'S. I had the paint chip off the car on my 2008 Civic and on the roof of my 2014 PIlot. Of course Honda takes no responsibility for this even though its happening to countless Honda customers across many years and models. They have already chosen to remove the sunroof as standard on many Pilot models as well.

2023 Subaru Ascent review
I recently traded in my 2022 Ascent for a similar 2023 model. The 2022 model had brakes issues/noises right from the beginning of ownership. Subaru gave me a great deal on the 2023 model. A number of improvement were found on the 2023 model. Obvious one is the exterior styling with new front grille, headlights and taillights. Interior improvements include updated Eyesight, quieter ride, better steering and brakes, larger multimedia screen including front and backup camera screens, driver profile system. A few other tweaks here and there, making the 2023 Ascent Touring a decent and very safe SUV. Not necessarily sporty or thrilling but perfect vehicle for commuting in town and long road trips.

Mercedes-Benz of Laguna NiguelReviews
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 review
Had this vehicle for about a month and I have to say it's the most amazing thing I've ever driven! It's so quiet, smooth, and maneuverable with the all-wheel steering. And driving it with one pedal has been a very satisfying experience and gives you so much control. Plus, that quiet interior has made enjoying the superb Dolby Atmos sound system, playing Spacial Audio via the integrated Apple Music app, even better. It's like being in a personal sound studio! And add to that the hot back massage, ambient lighting, and, air balance fragrance system makes it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The whole design is beautiful IMHO and truly reflects Mercedes's design language of "Sensual Purity", especially the front interior. I only wish it had a longer range, but with everything it offers, I'm OK with that until the battery technology for EVs improves. One final note. The HEPA filtration has been such a godsend with all the smoke from the Canadian wildfires and makes the inside air so fresh. After driving this, there's no way I want to go back to an ICE vehicle as it's just so superior in every way!

2015 Toyota Tacoma review
Bought my 2015 TRD Off Road Tacoma new off the lot and it has been a solid truck. I have only had to do a few things to it here and there, but I pull a trailer with a 1200lb SXS to West Virginia several times per year. In other words, I use my truck! I love it. Like any vehicle it isn't perfect. It has a few squeaks and rattles and there are things that could've been improved, but the engine and tranny are still going strong at 186k miles. I do hate that the headlights are prone to haze over and there is a noticeable whistle when traveling at 70+mph especially during crosswinds. The touchscreen display is impossible to read in bright sunlight because of the angle, and the blower fan could use more adjustment. As it gets older I have noticed there is some leakage of air to the defroster because the airway door isn't closing off completely. I can live with that. I have people ask me all the time if I want to sell it and I'm like NOPE! I'll keep it as long as I can.

This is the 2nd vehicle we have purchased from Carlsbad Subaru in the past few months. These are also the first two Subarus we have ever owned. Love the cars. The dealership works with Costco to establish a fair price. Trade in values were fair. Great service from the sales team and the finance guy. Highly recommend. We actually plan to get our service there too, although there are three dealerships much closer to our house. Everyone was very patient and supportive through the process. No funny add on games. Low pressure, high integrity, honest responses, and knowledgeable staff equals the reason we are proud Subaru owners.

2007 Toyota Highlander review
We have owned our Highlander since about 42K miles, it now has 136k. The car has been wonderfully reliable and the batteries (now 16 years old) seem to still be working quite well. We get about 25mpg, maybe one or two less than when we first got it. While maybe not sexy, the first-gen Highlander Hybrid is a super well-engineered car. Our years in this tight, quiet, comfortable, spacious vehicle have been great. Biggest problem is we can't find a modern car we like enough to replace it!

2022 RAM 2500 review
We wound up taking our 22 ram 2500 cummins over Sonora Pass due to a computer routing error(no signs either). This was while hauling a 13,000lb. 5th wheel. Tranny got hot pulling up the east side but cooled right back down after 15 minute stop.. Brakes overheated coming down west side but able to get stopped and let them cool for 45 minutes. we made it using 4 low. do not recommend trying this but the truck performed amazingly.... wont buy another brand after this adventure. Sonora Pass is a 26% grade up and down btw

My first MDX, absolutely love it. Gas mileage could be better in town, highway is good. I would buy the 4 seater next time not the 3 roll seat. Safety features are awesome! So many unexpected standard features. Safety features were my main concern as I have a 20 year neck injury. MDX filled all my safety issues. Honda is well made and ahead of their time.

AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad review
This was hands-down the smoothest vehicle purchasing experience I’ve ever had. Having bought four cars in the past, I’m used to the typical dealership experience—which usually feels pushy, high-pressure, and a bit arrogant. AutoNation was a breath of fresh air. I called ahead for an appointment, and during my first visit, I was able to do a test drive and get an accurate "out-the-door" price estimate in just about an hour and twenty minutes. The selling team (Drew) answered all of my questions clearly without any hidden agendas. They gave me the time and space I needed to go home, research other inventories, and think it over for a few days. After looking around, it was clear that this vehicle and this dealer were my best option. No pressure, no hassle—just excellent customer service. So far, I am absolutely loving my Subaru Crosstrek! Highly recommend.
2025 Honda Odyssey review
Abe was amazing right off the bat. He had the van ready for me to test drive after communicating via email and coordinating a schedule around my little ones needs. We weighed options on models, colors, etc, and made my trade in experience easy peasy.

South County Lexus review
A couple of weeks ago we acquired a 2023 Lexus RZ 450e at South County Lexus at Mission Viejo. We are so happy with the car. Our salesman, Enzo Impagliazzo did a super job selling us on the car and helping us through the whole process of acquiring it. Enzo put no pressure on us to make a decision re: purchasing the vehicle Rather, he let the vehicle sell itself, With his real title as Guest Experience Manager, he proved his worth to South County Lexus in a big way In the process of helping us in our purchase, Enzo became more than an employee of South County Lexus He became a friend A good man indeed. 2025 Lexus NX 250 review
downsized from previous generation RX350 to NX350h. little smaller but performance is in par with the V6 but double the MPG. Safety system is definitely improved and 14 inch screen is plenty large and easy to use. wireless Android/CarPlay works seamlessly. ride with 18 inch wheels and firm/soft suspension provides good long distance comfort. overall a solid value compared to GV70 and GLC300 we were cross-shopping.

Gosch Ford of Temecula review
Good overall experience. As always, the dealership tried to slip in extra fees. This does not make this dealership any worse than others, but I won't give 5 stars when this happens. In our case, the sticker price was not what we saw when we sat down to negotiate. There was a $1,300 charge added for a security feature the dealership had installed. I had that removed: sticker price on a used car should be everything that the car is. I did not choose a $1300 option. The dealership worked with us and was friendly, except for the finance guy. It was late at night and he got a little snippy.

My Raptor experience has been excellent. Very comfortable, handles fantastic. Great pedal response. Towing ability has been very responsive handlles great during Towing. Have not had a single problem. Only drawback might be price tag.

Sales customer service was the best experience ever ! Candace could not have been nicer, more accommodating and made the process painless. Alex facilitated the transaction and the same. we are very happy and would continue to buy from her and Alex! You can buy a car anyplace, why not where they take great care of you instead of the stress normally associated with buying a car. 10 stars....

2021 Mazda CX-5 review
The only issue I have had was the code P0126 having to do with the thermostat. This is common for this car. I was 170 miles from home when it happened. I talked to a Mazda dealer and they said I could drive it home, which I did and made an appointment with the dealer to have it fixed. It has not happened again. I am very happy with this car!

Working with MB Laguna and their Internet Sales Department is always fantastic. I have leased or purchased over a half dozen vehicles from them over the past 10 years and most recently have worked with David Abrams who is phenomenal. While I live in North County San Diego and have several other MB dealerships in my area, they are unable to match the people and pricing of MB Laguna. I’m happy to be a loyal customer.

Al Khan Wad my dealer at south country lexus branch. just from talking to him on the phone I felt his honesty and dedicated care. I drove 2 hours to buy the car since he manage to give me a very good price and a great service. Al is one of the best , he drove my car to LA , walked me through all the steps to connect my phone to the car and more , he offered to be available for me with any future questions . He offered to drive back the next day on his day off from work to help me with paper work on selling my old car . Al fallowed up with me for 2 days to make sure I am all being taking care . I highly recommend Al one of a kind dealer at Lexus of south country branch . Thank you Al for great service and great experience. Best regards Edna B.

2022 Cadillac Escalade review
I purchased a used 2021 model Sport and after being very impressed sold it in order to get a 2022 Sport with Super Cruise, which I absolutely love. I love all of the new technology, with the exception of Apple Car Play. I had a 2016 prior to this generation and was surprised that the gas mileage is actually better on the newer one. The ride is the best ever.

Great experience with RV Car Depot. The entire process was straightforward and much easier than I expected, especially purchasing a vehicle remotely. They were responsive, answered my questions, provided videos and information about the vehicle, and kept me updated throughout the process. Shipping was handled smoothly and the vehicle arrived as described.

CarMax LAX review
In 2008, my folks bought a new Chrysler Pacifica Limited. The car sales man was great. He knew all about the car and showed us everything about it. The dealership it's self is beautiful and super clean. They also have AWESOME cars inside in which you can sit and mess around in. The overall rating is a 4 BECAUSE, it is so hard to get a hold of these guys to take the car in. We've called 4 or 5 times to only leave messages that have never been responded to, so we are planning on just going there whether they want us to or not!
2016 Jaguar F-TYPE review
I purchased my 2016 F Type R AWD last December 2022. Since then I have driven about 2000 miles without issue. I test drove everything from 911 to AMG GTS before purchasing the F Type. Lots of AWD HP without fish tailing. Can drive for hours at a time with comfort. Lots of attention, it was a little weird at first. Modification not necessary. I highly recommend.
