2008 Ford Edge review
I bought my 08 ford edge sel used. I did tune up first week of ownership and regular maintenence as scheduled. Always reliable and comfortable. Only complaint is back interior. The light in the trunk was always covered as I always had stuff in trunk and back window did not open separate from trunk door like other suvs. Unfortunately after 7 years and 100000 miles plus from me I became unconscious while driving and destroyed her. She saved me though. Impressive safety in crash. Definitely would buy again

I cannot recommend Phil Smith Kia in Lighthouse Point enough. After weeks of calls, quotes, and spending hours at other dealerships only to be disappointed with bait and switch tactics, this was finally the experience we had been hoping for. Al in finance was also a pleasure to work with and made everything simple and stress free. Everyone at the dealership was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the entire process. From the first phone call to signing the papers and driving off in my new car only took a couple of hours. After such frustrating experiences elsewhere, Phil Smith Kia was a breath of fresh air. I could not be happier with the entire process and highly recommend them to anyone shopping for a new car.
2008 Ford Edge review
This a reasonable compact SUV. I bought it very cheap used as I just had moved to Saudi Arabia and I didn't have enough funds to buy new. Been quite reliable. There are few things that need to be looked out for: 1. Water pump: It is internal to engine so if it leaks coolant mixes with oil and can destroy engine. Sulution: Regular change of coolant tends to prevent premature failure. 2. PTU for AWD vehicles. That is another design blunder. They made it sealed but the oil inside actually boils up and destroys the unit. Solution: See YouTube videos and drain and refill yourself. 3. OSS/TSS are sensors for transmission. They fail early and need to be replaced along with solenoid. Transmission itself is solid. 4. Spark plugs and coils need to be changed at around 80-100k miles. They can fry the PCM if not done so timely.
