2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review

2024 GMC Yukon XL review

Bobby kept me informed of all steps of the transaction from my initial request to me driving off the Toyota of Mt. Pleasant dealership with my new RAV4. He also spent significant time in "walking" me through all of the aspects and features of the vehicle, making sure that I knew the great features of the car, while keeping in mind that it was raining and we had a two hour drive back home. This was an out of town purchase. I live in Houston, TX. I purchased from Pittsburg, TX. So all comms was done via phone. They worked w/me on price. Included in the agreement was that they would ship the vehicle to me. I decided to purchase. Overall the purchase part went well. However, I have execellent credit, so part of the purchasing process going well was because of me (credit score & putting $15k down). I had interactions w/Amy M. Jose V. (GM) and Cesar (Finance). All interactions w/the people were fine, all were nice & professional. The only hiccup was the delivery aspect of the process. I purchased the vehicle on 06/04 (Wed). I did my part & was very prompt about completing the paperwork via docusign & sending the wire for $15k. I received a call from Amy on Fri, 06/06 wanting to confirm my address for the temp plates. I asked about delivery & she said that it should be delivered to me today. I was very excited to hear that I was going to get my Jeep. Then she put me on hold & came back & said they could not ship because there were problems w/funding. I told her that they got the wire & that finance went through them & there were no problems. I quickly called their local bank & their bank confirmed they received the wire the day before. I text Amy & Jose to find out what is really going on....did not hear back, so I called. All ended up being fine (however, I suspect it was a diversion to use as an excuse as to why the vehicle was not going to be shipped that day since she slipped-up & said that it was going to be). Later that night Jose called me to tell me that my car would be delivered on Mon, but I had to pick it up from Manhiem probably around 5pm. I agreed. Mon, 06/09, a lot of back & forth, back & forth (I left work early & had to take an Uber (1 hr to work & 1 hr back) since I got rid of my truck on Sun, 06/07, since I was told I would be getting my vehicle delivered on Mon. No vehicle on Mon... I was then told it would be here Tues, 06/10 b/c of the weather they had on Mon....Well, little did they know that my husband drove open road & hot shot & shipping companies don't play that game. Rain is not going to stop them (my husband was later told (after getting involved) that it was due to a driver have a "tummy ache")....Tues rolls around, a lot of back & forth again. I borrowed my husband truck & left work early again, so I could get to that side of town & get the car without the transport guy waiting on me. Nope, .....no car. Was told it would be Wed by 3pm, but no later than 5pm....took Uber to work (1-hr there, left work early again) & Ubered back 1-hr. A lot of back & forth, back & forth...& was told that the vehicle was picked up & left about 11:30am-12noon....It is a 4-1/2 drive from Pittsburg, TX to Houston, TX...the weather was bad, but a driver would only go through bad weather for about 1-2 hours out of the 4-1/2 drive (was watching weather radar on phone)....Sat by my phone from 3:30pm to 7:45pm waiting on a call from the transport company. Got a text from Jose saying the transport company had been trying to call me for 2 hours ----xxxxxxxx! I had my phone on me like white-on-rice. Headed over to Manheim got the vehicle. Note, my purchasing paperwork said the Odometer was 10 miles. I got in the vehicle and the mileage was 43 miles. Wow! Someone was cruising around about 33 miles on my expense. Not cool. In any event, I must say Jose V. was very professional throughout the whole process. There were times I wished he would have been the one to keep me posted, instead of me being the one having to constantly text for info & updates. Would I buy from them again? Yes. However, I would not leave it to them to transport a vehicle. Just pay the money & get your own shipping vendor to do it. The loss of work for 3 days in a row & the cost of Uber was not cool either. Transporter said he left Pittsburg, TX at 2:30-3pm....so that was a lie as well, when I was told driver left at 12.
2018 GMC Sierra 1500 review
Am in disbelief every week at the Gas Pumps. Thou a big truck, mileage per gallons are 18 +. Last week it was 22.8. This week 19.78.

2017 GMC Yukon review
I bought this 2017 Tahoe w LT trim new. Have 60K on it now and have had no issues with it. We are not towing with it or doing high speed racing so we find the 5.3L Motor is smooth and quiet (and have not had any lifter issues which others have reported). Transmission and suspension also smooth. We keep Michelins on all our vehicles and have found this Tahoe very quiet and comfortable for road trips with 4-6 people and luggage. The LT trim pkg deleted some comfort items I wish I had (like heated steering wheel) but it still is pretty much leather-and-loaded so it was a good value at the time. I have had Suburbans for 35yrs before purchasing this Tahoe and I will probably go back to a Suburban for the extra cargo space when I trade this Tahoe in. But this has been a nice and reliable vehicle for us. No complaints.

2023 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I own a 2023 Sierra 1500 Elevation equipped with the 2.7L TurboMax, and it’s been outstanding. It currently has 23,000 flawless miles. I’ll admit, I was skeptical of the 2.7 at first, but I jumped in feet-first and have never looked back. Living in Colorado, I regularly tow a 5,000-pound travel trailer through the Rockies with zero performance issues. The truck pulls confidently, handles grades with ease, and still delivers impressive fuel economy—23–24 mpg on the highway and about 18 mpg in town. I couldn’t be happier with this setup. If there is a negative to mention, that would be that after three years of ownership, the black wheels havent grown on me, and Im beginning to hate em. :) Lastly, the mpg while towing drops to 9mpg which is similar to that of a V8. All said, its been a great truck. :)

2024 GMC Canyon review
Our AT4X has been an excellent mid-size truck. The ride is shockingly smooth and the engine has a lot of torque. Wish the interior had less plastic and GM's failure to have a rear view camera mirror or controls for garage/gate contols is inexcusible. Overall, could not be more pleased with this truck.

2022 GMC Canyon review
GMC Diesel Canyon AT4. I've had this truck for a year-11,000 miles. I love it. The Denali and Elevation trim looked like junk. The AT4 can't compete with the Tacoma off road but, It holds it's own off road. The Diesel pulls like a beast and the exhuast brake, on all the moutain passes I drive, is worth it's wieght in Gold. I trailer the max. capacity regularly and it's smooth sailing. I traded in my 2500HD Silverado with the vortec 6.0 for this big, little truck. Best decision I've made in a while. I had this truck on order for 8 months and Gm never accepted the order. I finally found exactly what I ordered, just off the truck that morning that I called. 1300 miles away, I jumped on a plane to go get it. Crying shame GMC discontinued the diesel. The extra $ per gallon right now is easily washed by the increase in mileage, 32+ higway, 19 trallering almost 8000 #'s. I wouldn't want the truck without it. Wouldn't want the Elevation or Denali. Diesel AT4 is the truck. I'll keep it the rest of my life barring accident. I'm sure I can get 40 years out of this truck doing 10-12k a year. The regeneration of the exhaust has never come up but, I only do a little round town driving. Most of my miles are highway and hauling a load. I've heard horror stories about regen. from city folk, commuters... You get what you aim for. If you've given it a lot of thought and the diesel AT4 seems right for you, you won't be disappointed. Good luck finding one. GM - You've a winner here. don't let it get away. Ps. Cars.com doesn't have a choice of how I use this truck for WORK. And wouldn't let me submit this review without selecting one of thier 3 inadequate choices. So, I selected having fun cause I believe everything should be but, this is my WORK TRUCK!

2019 GMC Acadia review
Its a decent car, but on a car frame. I had a GMC Envoy a truck frame SUV and it was so much nicer to sit higher than the sedans and baby SUVs on the road. Doe have nice accelerations and mileage tho.
