Used Honda CR-V for sale under $4,000 near me

I bought my son a Black 2011 Nissan Altima in April 2022. I went in after seeing the car online. Rep was VERY Accommodating and pleasant! Answered all questions, and let us drive it. Allowed me to practically keep the car ALL day and take it to the dealership for evaluation. Very easy to deal with and paperwork was simple. Highly recommended! Good car- son loves it!! I purchased this vehicle the first year that Honda came out with the CRV. My boyfriend was a Honda Mechanic at the dealership where I purchased it & he did all the scheduled maintenance. And scheduled maintenance was the only thing I had to do the 4+ years I owned it. Once I paid it off, I’d had it 4 1/2 to 5 year’s & I’d put over 100k on it. I traded it for a new Honda Element. I’ll never forget the 45 minute drive home in the Element…. My 5 year old daughter cried hysterically the entire drive because I had traded our CRV. Turned out the Honda Element, seemed roomier but really wasn’t. Only seated 4, which ended up being a problem. We absolutely LOVED our 1997 CRV & have owned 3 more since! This Is a well made, mechanically sound vehicle!

I purchased my 2005 Honda CRV new & I still have it. It is 15 1/2 years old. It’s great if you want a small SUV. It’s not really comfy for tall people though. That’s the only drawback. I just had to change my back rotors for the first time & I have approximately 133K miles.

I just got this car not long ago, I needed a reliable cheap car I had a 2000 crv that got rear ended years ago I loved it,I was not happy to let that one go. This is in good shape and you would never know it has over 300,000 miles and it was well taken care of by last owner I love it I will drive it till it's falls apart

I recently purchased a certified Honda from Parkway Honda. I am a return customer and have worked with Shane on all of my purchases. Every time I have walked away satisfied, including this recent purchase. The sales staff are helpful, knowledgeable and not pressuring in any way. It’s a group that I really trust. It’s the same core group of sales people so they definitely understand the importance of maintaining a good reputation. That’s why they’re still there. I’ve had to work with finance once or twice and they’ve always been able to deliver a competitive rate and work to get you the best rate possible. A well connected team. Finally, like the sales group, I can’t say enough about the service group. I’ve taken my cars to Parkway Honda service over the years and have never left unsatisfied with the work and cannot recall ever taking the car back for a repeat issue. Bob does a superb job as Service Manager and many in the community use the service group because of Bob’s presence.

My dad bought this car new in 2000, drove it to Florida, Colorado, West Virginia etc. Has never broke down or had any problems with him, then he gave it to me and she still runs perfectly. So comfortable and roomy. She gets AMAZING gas mileage. She’s got a little rust and shakes a little bit over 70 mph but other than that she’s the most safe and reliable car. I would recommend this car to someone who’s looking for their first car.

I've had mine for almost 20 years and luckily or not it's been trouble free except for a few recalls. She's a dream car with 133,000 Miles on it. I also have a Nissan Rogue and it's a tough choice as to which I'll get Next when it comes time to get a new one.

I've purchased a number of cars from George at East Coast Auto Source over the years. I would recommend the following if you're looking at buying a salvage/repairable vehicle: 1) Choose your Auto Body mechanic FIRST prior to going to purchase a vehicle that is salvage/repairable and pay him for his time even if you DON"T BUY. Paying him $100.00 for his time might save you thousands of dollars in the long run. Take him with you to look at the vehicle you are interest in. A mechanic can identify hidden damage and cost that you as a buyer can not identify. 2) Get an estimate on parts from George (or any other salvage yard) as this is added cost to what you are actually paying for the vehicle. 3) Get a time frame on repairs from your mechanic: example: is his shop out 3 months on repairs? six months on repairs? 4) Add the cost of the vehicle, parts, repairs and time to fix and compare this amount of money and time to the same model vehicle that a dealership or private owner has for sale and analyze if the repair of the salvage vehicle is worth it....sometimes it is: sometimes it's not. I've never had any trouble getting titles, bill of sale, or vehicles shipped upon purchase, etc from George. As indicated, have some knowledge of salvage repairable vehicles and get estimates up front and your repair experience will be much better.

Bought new in 2000. 217000 miles in 2021. Only ever needed scheduled maintenance except a little valve work at 180,000 miles when the check engine light came on. I couldn’t sense any cylinder issues, but my state requires that check engine issues be fixed before they renew the tag. Here’s a tip about the grade logic system. If you’re slowly accelerating up a gentle incline and the car will not produce a gear shift when you know it should, just jiggle the shift lever up into neutral and immediately back down into drive. The transmission will find the next gear. Do not take your foot off the accelerator and do not linger in neutral. The engine won’t rev and the transmission will shift smoothly if you do it quickly.

We bought our CPO 2006 CR-V SE in 2008 with 19K miles. It replaced a 2000 CR-V with 180K miles, and the 2.4L/5 speed felt so much peppier in the mountains than the old 2.0L/ 4 speed. It now has 243K trouble-free miles and has been passed down from Mom to our teen daughters. Everyone who gets in is amazed that it's so much roomier in both rows than the outside would suggest. Lots of cargo room, too. Simple, ergonomic dashboard controls. Love the dash-mounted shift lever and flip-up center console. Leather seats are tough as nails and still look good. It's fun to drive. Not overpowered, but feels peppy and responsive, revs easily and smoothly when you punch the throttle to merge or pass. Great outward visibility. Tight steering, firm brake feel. Very maneuverable in tight spaces. Best feature is the low, low cost of operation. It has never broken down. No expensive timing belt services. The only non-routine repairs were a thermostat at 190K, brake pads at 210K, and a knock sensor at 240K. We just can't seem to spend money on this vehicle. Everything works, AC blows cold, starts every time, runs smoothly, plenty of power for mountain driving. The flaws I've noted are relatively few. One, seats are contoured for smaller people. That's us, so we're fine, but larger people probably would not be happy. Two, the seats fold and tumble, so you don't get a full-length flat load floor. It holds a lot, but you have to load vertically. Third, the cupholders are poorly designed and don't seem to fit any common drink sizes in the US. Four, the rear cargo door swings to the wrong side for curbside loading in the US. In my opinion the 2006 SE was the best CR-V ever made, and I've already put my daughters on notice that when they move on, it's mine.

Will run for 200k miles easy! This is a great car and you cannot go wrong buying a Honda. Just know that the A/C will need to be replaced at 100k miles...every Honda...every time.

The Crv, is a great car it has lots of space and a large open trunk. It is my first car and if you treat it right, it will last you forever.

Known George for many years. I’ve done body works for 30 years . Let me school some of y’all for bashing for not knowing what your talking about. These cars are totaled out by the insurance for a reason not because they enjoy doing it. If you go and buy salvage car and rebuild it most times your going run into stuff that your not aware of. That’s just how it works whether it’s salvage or working in dealership. If your buying a salvage car thinking well I’ll put a light on it and bumper on it and away I go then in most cases your definitely wrong.Now you can save money buying salvage cars and rebuilding.But expect the unexpected because they are salvage cars totaled for a reason and don’t talk s—t when u get the unexpected. If your looking for new car then go buy one at a dealership with no issues because in the rebuilding world you got spend little money

I purchased this car three years ago in 2017 for $4,000 with 102,000 miles on it. The body was perfect interior pristine. It did however develop several oil leaks on the motor which were fixed for $800 in repairs. I'm now facing in 2021 a possible new AC compressor needed for around a $1,200 . And it has recently developed yet another small oil leak that I don't think will be costly to repair. As much as I think I should just buy a new car I can't deny the fact that this car looks and runs great. Well it's now 19 years old. It's still looks brand new. I'm thinking it's okay to put in $2,000 on this great car if it'll last me a couple more years. Fingers crossed.

We bought a 2004 CR-V LX new. We opted for the 5-speed, and had a lot of fun driving it. We drove it all over the place. It got regular oil changes at the Honda dealer. We had to replace the clutch at 183K miles. The service advisor thought I was kidding when I told him it was the original clutch. The only problem we had was the A/C compressor. We had five fail in five years. The first two were paid for by the original warranty, the second two by the extended warranty. I don’t know if it was because this one was built in the UK. We lived in Las Vegas, so A/C was critical in the summer. Everyone I talked to with the same year said they had no problems. Honda denied there was a problem. I would still be driving it, but it met an untimely demise when the trailer hauling it during a move rolled over. It was at 210K and still going strong. I miss my CR-V.

So reliable and took me everywhere I asked! And yes his name was Harvey - and such an easy keeper , never ask for extras just necessities ! Just sold today - miss him already!

I have only shopped online looking for one specific truck. I have been contacted to talk about wanting to buy. That person was so nice, laid back did not try to push something else on me. I received a follow up call letting me know they got in a Chevy Colorado but it had a manual transmission. They continue to look for what I want to buy but are not pushy they keep a watch out for the desires vehicle I'm interested in. Thanks, Lower Brother's.

This is the best car for living. It is very reliable and nearly no need to worry about its quality. It saves a lot of gas.
