We found ourselves between a rock and a hard place and didn't think there was anything we could do, but we stopped at Machens to look at their "tent sale" vehicles. 2023 Toyota Prius review
I just retired and got my XLE 7 months ago. I was lucky to get it. Someone else decided to pass on it. I have some upgrades like the 12 inch screen and glass top. I would have never purchased a Pruis before this new model. So far, I absolutely love it. I don’t drive it like a sports car, so I am getting 53.5 to 54,5 mpg. It is amazing to spend $12 dollars on gas every two weeks instead of $30 to $40 every week like I use to. I really love the design. I have cutting edge silver. It isn’t quite as luxurious as other cars I have had but that wasn’t why I purchased it. I think it can last me the rest of my life.

2023 Hyundai TUCSON Hybrid review
This is my 4th Hyundai and I buy them for the warranty. I even received a new engine in my last Hyundai on warranty at 120,000 miles. I do appreciate that Hyundai honors their warranties. I have had good luck for the most part with all Hyundais and love the comfort, amenities and sporty look of the Tuscon. My only concern is that at 1.5 years and with 30,000 miles I had to have the oil pan replaced but again thanks to the Hyundai warranty no cost.

2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid review
We purchased our new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid TrailSport last month and love it! It drives very smoothly and has a nice, quiet ride. I’ve been getting 35 mpg so far, which I’m really happy about for it being a mid sized suv. The Apple Car Play is great. I’m enjoying the technology in the vehicle and feel it’s perfect without being distracting. I love the look of this design of CR-V, especially in the Ash Green Metallic we chose! I had previously been driving a 2018 luxury hybrid suv. Ultimately I decided that this vehicle has a quieter ride, better fuel economy and is a perfect fit for my around town commuting. In addition, both the dealership and Honda were offering great incentives. My son purchased the exact same model ‘26 CR-V (in a different color) last October. He loves it as well and recommended we check it out during our vehicle search. Now we have two in the family!

Little over 800 miles and already getting over 40MPG city. Highway is in low 30's. Seats could stand to be just a bit wider. Really miss not having Sirius Radio but finding ways around it. NO Spare tire.

2023 Hyundai ELANTRA HEV review
Overall a good car for the price, smooth and quiet ride (for its class) and surprisingly accurate gas milleage. What we like so far (got it a month ago and have already 1500 miles (driven in the mountains and in the city): consistent great gas mileage - the best among hybrids; nice exterior design and great safety features; spacey interior; very decent and quiet ride: don't expect great power from the start but can get to 140 - 160 miles/hr and ride smoothly and quietly. What we don't quite like: the door pockets are so small one cannot fit a regular cup of coffee or tea, rather cheap fixtures, missing back sit middle cup holder (they added it to the more expensive models but these have lower gas mileage), the mirrors do not automatically fold, weird design of the middle console, it has a sort of wall (possible for the right seat rider to hold) but that takes of the space we could've use to add a two cup holder adaptor. After a year of ownership I'll update the review.

2026 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid review
I have had the car one month so far, RAV4 plug n see They say I can go 50 miles on electric charge, I am getting 55 to 58 depending on my driving style with running the a/c. So far I have not used a drop of gas. I am charging at night from 10pm to 7 am using 110 standard plug. The lowest I have taken battery down is 28%. Our local electric company has great rates from 12 to 6 am, I have figured my charging cost at about .64 cents per night for a full charge. The car is very quiet and smooth, with the horse power at 300 plus it is very quick. Looks great and runs like you want.

My wife and I live in OKC. We shopped 3 different Lexus dealers for a new RC 350 and Grant Smith at Lexus of Wichita was easily the most responsive. He was pleasant, professional and we felt no pressure in dealing with him. He found what we wanted (the car we wanted was intended for another dealer and he and the staff negotiated to trade allocations.) We traveled from OKC when our car arrived. We spent about an hour and a half visiting while he completed the paperwork. Very relaxed and even the "additional options/warranties" offer took only 10 minutes with no pressure. I'm 56 and this was the best car-buying experience I've ever had.

2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe review
Approaching 25,000 miles and we haven’t had any issues. I actually enjoy choosing whether to run on electric or gas based on what my journey is. If you just put it in hybrid mode, you’re not utilizing the efficiency of the engine. My advice, think about your journey. If I’m jumping on the highway to then head into the city, I run it on gas on the highway then switch to all electric in the city -no point wasting the electric with highway driving! Then I use up the last of my electric when google tells me I’m X miles from home when I still have X miles of electric remaining to use it all up. When we just do local drives less than 25 miles (grocery, day care pick up etc.) we can literally run off electric only for days, even weeks. It just takes thinking about what your journey involves. Crawling traffic for a 5 mile slow down ahead, I’m on gas until I hit that traffic, then switch to electric. We’ve taken this Jeep (Willys) through plenty of winter storms with feet of snow and ice, never needed to use chains with its AWD or 4WD to choose from. Hopefully the great reliability continues.

2025 Honda Accord Hybrid review
Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L Review (1,500 miles) After careful research, I purchased a Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L and have now put just over 1,500 miles on it. As a tough critic, I’d give the car an overall 9/10, with many aspects deserving 4.5/5 stars. What I Like: The Accord feels exceptionally well-refined, handsome inside and out, and surprisingly high-quality. The dashboard and infotainment system are straightforward, responsive, and user-friendly. Controls are logically placed, voice commands and hands-free calling work reliably, and call quality is excellent on both ends. I especially love the regenerative braking paddles on the steering wheel. They keep me engaged while driving (especially in the city), help recharge the battery, and reduce wear on the brake pads. The driving experience is a highlight — the car feels agile and nimble in traffic, with competent acceleration, steering, and braking. It simply feels well-engineered and enjoyable to drive. On cold Michigan mornings, the vehicle warms up quickly, the windshield defrosts fast, and the cabin reaches a comfortable temperature within about five minutes of remote start. The three-level seat heaters are effective and useful for maintaining comfort without running the heater constantly. What I Don’t Like: Headlights: While the low and high beams provide good visibility, the automatic high-beam system is finicky. It sometimes stays on too long when oncoming traffic approaches, unlike the flawless system in my previous 2018 F-150. Seat Comfort & Space: For my daily 70-mile commute, the seats are adequate. As a 6’0”, 250 lb driver, I have plenty of headroom and the car comfortably fits five adults. However, I suspect the seats may not be plush enough for longer trips, and I wish there was a bit more legroom. Fuel Economy: This is my biggest disappointment so far. I drive about 85% highway miles. In cold weather (low 40s°F). I’ve been struggling to break 38–39 mpg, with occasional warmer drives reaching 42–43 mpg. I was hoping for closer to the advertised 48 mpg combined, even in winter, and expect improvement as temperatures rise. Data Privacy: I discovered after purchase that Honda and Google are collecting significant driving and vehicle data with limited options to control or limit what is shared with them and third parties. Overall Verdict: The Accord Hybrid EX-L is a refined, comfortable, and enjoyable daily driver with excellent build quality and thoughtful features. Minor frustrations with the auto high-beams, seat comfort for long trips, and lower-than-expected MPG in cold weather keep it from a perfect score. Still, I’d highly recommend it for most buyers, especially once warmer weather returns and fuel economy improves.

2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
Great in mileage. Looks great. Performance is amazing. I don't like the fact that you can't use GPS, remote start, location finding, etc without subscribing monthly. Also dont like Toyota's spying, as they actually say they will supply all of your driving info like speeds, stopping, behaviors, locations travelled to, driving habits, etc. to all law enforcement and all insurance companies that request the data. That is just plain "1984" control and interference with privacy. They might as well be the CCP or other dictatorship.

What a great dealership! After being mislead at another local dealership (drove 2 hours to get to this one, rhymes with tow), I called to see if another vehicle was still available. To my luck, Brandon with Rusty Drewing Toyota answered and was nothing but exceptional during our visit! He quickly got me a response and made sure the vehicle was ready as I was pulling in. We ended up driving this vehicle home that same day because of Brandon and his EXCELLENT customer service and overall great experience at this dealership! Usually you get the overly sales pitched, on top of you, annoying and usually somewhat dishonest sales person at a car dealership, not at Rusty's! You will be treated like family! Offered, drinks, snacks, a play area for kids and down right honest conversations, where you know you get a fair trade, and a quality vehicle at a price you can achieve! Brandon did nothing but process this deal quickly (which I appreciated with two young kids under five and the hubby not with me that day), honestly and openly tell me about pricing and financing options, offered us a great vehicle and made it an easy process! He even has the best marketing, leaving you lots of his fun stickers so you know who to call and who to refer, which I have been doing since buying from Brandon at Rusty's! Our finance associate was also FANTASTIC! He was quick and kind in explaining details and options and made the process easy too! To top it off, during that time, they offered our family a trip to their "candy store and ice cream" at the dealership, helping to keep my kiddos and myself happy during a process that does take a little time. After finishing things up we were gifted a nice wine bottle and some more of Brandon's personal goodies (snow scrapper, car koozies, etc.)! I have never felt more VIP at a dealership! I wish we lived closer so I could service all my vehicles through this dealership. It's really like none other! You'll need to find my guy Brandon because he's the BEST! He'll take care of you like family and keep the process enjoyable and light hearted too! 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid review
Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited in Windchill Pearl Nightshade Edition is a super car. Layout, engineering, finish out all top notch. I’m glad I got one of the first 2025s in the Nightshade. Can’t recommend letting Toyota Mfg do the blackout over add on at distributor level. There is no comparison.
