2017 Hyundai TUCSON review
Just purchased as a daily driver for work. Had it two months with 104,000 miles. Looks and drives great. Base model but I’m pleased with its features. I agree not a lot of power but purchase it as a work vehicle to garage my nicer vehicle.

2020 Hyundai PALISADE review
Bought car used in September 2026 w/65000 miles. Needed to replace my 2016 Escape which broke down catastrophically after 2 years of constant repairs. Also, my sister was facing knee replacement and we needed to fit her, her 300-lb husband, walkers, wheelchair, and groceries in our everyday vehicle! Two words describe the result: exceeds expectations! Lots of room even with all of us and our junk; More road power than my old man's driving style needs, but it translates to smooth as silk road behavior on the steepest of Pennsylvania's hills; Typical Hyundai reliability and dealer service : helpful, courteous, attentive, and informative. Not the cheapest, but worth what I pay. I was suspicious about putting all my eggs in a 6 year old vehicle ... but I think I just bought 250,000 of solid comfort and driveability that's better than new!

2023 Hyundai SANTA FE review
I have owned or leased about 12 new Hyundais and about 40 new cars in my lifetime. As I am getting on in years and don’t drive that much I think this will be the last car I will own. That said, I am more satisfied with this car than I have ever owned. The only thing that I am not happy with is the push button transmission. I much prefer the conventional shift lever. If something should happen to this car, I would replace it with another exactly like this one. A niggling point is the placement of the charging pad. It is easy to lose something down there but can be retrieved with a shop vac. No big deal.

2024 Hyundai TUCSON review
I have a 2024 Tuscan XRT .I bought slightly used and now has 17k miles . It has been a fantastic car. Initially wanted the SEL convenience hybrid for the gas mileage but couldn’t justify spending an extra $4-6k to save a few hundred dollars on gas a year. My non- hybrid has gotten amazing gas mileage. Averaging 28-29 mpg mostly stop and go, some highway. Way better than the estimates of 23-28mpg. The EPA estimates are way off ! The Tuscan drives so smooth and so quiet. The 8 speed transmission is amazing! It shifts quickly and so smoothly . The cabin is extremely quiet. I think there is more insulation/ sound proofing than the hybrid versions that try to cut down on weight. You don’t hear any road noise in theTuscan !The suspension is smooth and adsorbs every bump . The most surprising positive is the handling. There is absolutely no body roll and handles like it is on rails! I have owned a lot of vehicles and this handles better than anything in this price range. Handles better than any Subaru, better than the BMWs I have had. Feels like I am driving an Audi A4 which is pretty impressive. The seats are extremely comfortable, the stock radio sounds great, lots of legroom and the passenger and cargo room is amazing. Back seats hold full size adults and the seats recline! The cons. Not very many. The 0-60 could be better. However, it shifts so quick and smoothly you don’t notice any issues with speed/ power. A few reviews say 0-60 in like 9 +seconds . I don’t think this is accurate. My guess is high 7s -low 8 seconds but haven’t tested it. It doesn’t have sports car speed but it sure handles like one. For long drives and a daily driver, I would take the comfort / quietness and handling of Tuscan over a muscle car.

Some history before I get to my recent service that was done. Bought a used 2018 Hyundai Tuscon SE AWD, with Nu 2.0L GDI in July 2021 at Cochran South Hills Hyundai. Had a little over 22,000 miles. Originally went there to look at a used Santa Fe that was advertised online...was told they could not sell it to me as it did not meet some safety criteria. So ended up with the Tuscon (and also bought the EasyCare Gold Wrap extended warranty - extending bumper to bumper for 10 years 100,000 miles from original sale date in 2018). I purchased another Hyundai because I have a 2009 Elantra with about 170,000 miles on it and only did routine maintenance (aside from timing chain, water pump, plugs around 100,000-which is considered routine). It is still going. At some point in 2023, I had to take it back for a recall software update (Done at Monroeville Cochran Hyundai). I asked the gentleman at the service desk about what seemed to me to be an excessive consumption of oil. He said that Hyundai used less than 1 quart consumption within 1000 miles was deemed acceptable. (Surprised me that was acceptable as I NEVER had a vehicle that used that much oil!!). I did have and earlier recall software update in 2022 (this may have been the update with anti-theft updates). That was done at a Hyundai dealer near Columbus, OH. After they did repairs as the vehicle WAS stolen and recovered a few days later and repairable. Onto my recent service for my vehicle completed at Cochran Monroeville Hyundai: My daughter was driving back from Cleveland on 4/11/26. About 50 miles from Pittsburgh on the turnpike, the vehicle went into some type of a 'protection' mode and would not go over 50-55 mph. I don't believe there were any warning lights on, but that was several months ago. Told her to get in right hand lane and put on 4-way flashers and go to Cochran Monroeville (about 1 mile off turnpike) and I would meet her there. This was a Saturday before service closed at 3pm (a little over 81,000 miles on it at this point). They looked at everything and determined the catalytic converter was clogged. That was installed and corporate Hyundai covered 90% and I covered 10% of the cost (little over $300). In my opinion, this was likely due to excessive oil consumption. Also asked for a few other 'routine' maintenance items to be completed for that level of mileage. Picked up the vehicle on 4/16/26. Also asked to start an 'oil consumption' test, as I had been keeping track of oil that was added between changes for the last 4-5 months - varied based on miles driven when checked, but was definitely more than 1 quart/1000 miles. Oil consumption test is 3 parts (simplified, and all steps need to get corporate approval prior to starting): 1. Dealership changes oil/filter and adds tamper seals to filter/drain plug. I drive the vehicle for up to about 1000 miles (or less if oil level is near 1 quart low) and see who much oil was used. 2. If greater than 1 quart/1000 miles (taken back to dealer to verify amount), a 'top engine/combustion chamber' cleaning is done. Oil/filter are changed and tamper seals added. 3. The 2nd round of driving up to 1000 miles is done and vehicle is taken back to dealer for verification. If consumption is greater than 1000 miles/quart - new short block is installed. On April 11, 2026 when we initially pulled in, Melissa Warner was my Service Advisor and continued to be my point of contact throughout the duration of the 3 steps. I only have good things to say about Melissa, she helped getting the catalytic converter being 90% covered. She followed through each step of the consumption test, constantly staying in touch via phone or text. If I called or text her, she would reply the same day or at latest, next day. It was a long process, especially having to drive the vehicle for the two mileage tests. But in the end, a new short block was installed. I have no problem using Cochran Monroeville.

There are some things worth noting. Gas mileage is not great. No where near what it says. Controls are hard to navigate and confusing but I love the phone, GPS, ride, Sirius and other safety features.

2024 Hyundai TUCSON review
After trying out dozens of different makes & models (looking for a used, comfortable 1 or 2 yr old car) we found our Tucson on a show-room floor with everything we wanted (except CD player) & paid less than what we were looking at with an older model of anything else! (would have given the car a 5 Star rating for interior, but center counsel is awkward to get into while driving & not quite enough small storage spaces.. other than that.. it's our 1yr anniversary with the car & we're Still learning all the buttons! We bought the car in Janesville, Wisc. The dealerships here in Rockford were pushy & wouldn't answer any questions unless we committed to buying with them. (Stay away!!)

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport review
Currently own a 2018 Santa Fe Sport base model and now has 115k miles on it. I have know major issues a d maintenance cost have been reasonable. I hope to get another 115k off it.

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport review

2025 Hyundai TUCSON Hybrid review
Great everyday ride. Not a sports car by any means but has features that no other suv in its size and price can match. Leather seats are uninspiring - suggest they go synthetic with a nicer look and feel. Acceleration of hybrid is very good and appreciate no CVT tranny - prefer the traditional 6speed and front/back drive with no electric motor separately motoring the rear. This is my wife’s car and 2nd in 2 years - upgraded to the hybrid limited because the base engine is a dog and gets terrible mpg.

They were kind throughout the negotiating process and unlike other car buying experiences I never felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. If you are buying a Hyundai I would highly recommend Mike Camlin.
2022 Hyundai PALISADE review
Just be aware that if you buy a white one that Hyundai had a problem with the paint just flaking off. On the roof of my car which is white, I have big strands and strips of paint coming off and the car only has 20,000 miles. They covered it under warranty for 10 years but it's just a hassle.

This is a great car. I love the back-up camera, heated seats, no smoking in, very low mileage, fast and safe for my little one. The back seats go all The way down or part way. I sit higher, has a slap-shift. Great car!
