2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
Got the top of the line Velar SVA that was only made in 2020. Compared to other cars line the X3M, X5M, GLE63 AMG etc... there was no comparison. A supercharged V8 will be and feel faster than any of those turbo engines. The throttle response is instantaneous and the torque is crazy. You get a high quality luxorious interior with rediculous performace and air suspension. I drove the car daily and had no issues at all. The car is super reliable and got lots of compliments. The exhaust sound is unreal. It sounds like AMG upshifts but louder with a completely stock exhaust. No annoying fake pops and bangs, just a clean agressive sound. Even now in 2025 the only SUV that comes close is the Cayenne GTS which is selling for 20k more. This is the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a limited release Range Rover that looks like the new Range Rover and has the performance of the last generation SVR (legendary car).

I initially chose Patrick Jaguar because they were one of only 2 Jaguar dealerships in the area that were not marking up their vehicles over MSRP, specially the hard to get ones like the F-Pace SVR which I bought. We just got our 2022 Defender from Land Rover Alexandria at the end of December and we love it! Previously had a Land Rover a few years back from a different Land Rover store and decided to try another brand after that one. The new Defender is absolutely is amazing! The whole buying process was very convenient for us with busy schedules. Normally, we spend an entire day trying to work out our car purchases and that's what we expected this time but it seemed to go very quickly. I know the Defender we bought is hard to get but we were able to reserve one that was already being built and sent to the dealership that worked for us so that cut out alot of the time (which was a great time saver since the dealership looked very-very busy the day we were there). We really thought the whole process was pain free and our salesperson was kind and very helpful and the manager in the back was friendly and also took time to help while our salesperson was getting our Defender ready for to take home. He apologized for how busy they were and mentioned they would be at a new much larger location just down the street in just a couple months. The apology was nice but really not needed since it was going much faster than we thought and we could tell the dealership needed a new place so we're looking forward to servicing at the new location. Only one hiccup about month later with the rear wiper not cleaning properly (only noticed an issue after all the ice and snowstorms) but the service team got it handled with a replacement wiper in a few minutes when I stopped by. Very happy with our experience and definitely recommend this dealership!
