2014 Ford Escape review

2011 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen review
I owned this car for 2 years and 3 months. Bought it with 150,000 miles and I sold it to the subaru dealership with over 163,000 miles. It was reliable for a volkswagen. 2003 Dodge Durango review
I’ve got a 2003 SXT with the 4.7 and it’s a great SUV. It burns a little oil if I let it sit and idle for too long, only because the valve stem seals tend to go bad on the SOHC 4.7s at an early mileage. It’s not a hard fix to do, but I think I read somewhere that it can get a little costly due to labor. But otherwise it’s a good truck, I’ve yet to be left stranded on the side of the road for a mechanical failure, and most of the maintenance I’ve done was easily addressed at home with the proper tools.

2009 Honda Fit review
Bought one with 200k on it..drives smooth solid trNs , suspension and acceleration ..nice 1.5 liter engine no oil leaks ..just needed tune up ..spark plugs and o,e cylinder coil ...glad to have it for my gas buster budget. 40 mpg on highway ..seems like it'll go another 100k. Good in snow fwd helps alot

2007 Volkswagen Rabbit review
This car is a SLEEPER, despite the seemingly “Low” 150 horsepower, this car takes off like a rocket from a stand-still, it accelerates briefly quick. Bought this car at around 120k miles. All the stories and rumors you’ve heard about German cars or volkswagen being unreliable, this car certainly proved me wrong and brought me comfort. Even though it is not MY car, my brother owns the 07 6 speed automatic (with tiptronic transmission) and it is quite amazing. The throttle response is unbelievable in the tiptronic mode (+ and -). Although if you’re worried about not shifting at the right time, it will automatically upshift/downshift for you, the computer overrides as a safety feature. I will be honest, i drive my brother’s rabbit A LOT, and the sports mode is pretty DECENT at high speeds, there’s no major improvement besides higher RPM so it will shift later (brings more power out of each gear before automatically going into the next one) . It just makes the engine roar but everyone’s experience is different! Just sharing mine. The handling is an absolute 10/10 and when given enough gas from a stand still, the wheels will spin a little bit even with traction control on. Another Pro that i think people overlook but is very important, One day i was in a rush to get to work on time and i was going a little fast and had to (safely) cut someone off to get in the far left lane so i was going too fast considering i needed to come to a stop, i slammed on the brakes and the car DID NOT skid or lose control, the brakes surprised me and i thought i was going to crash but it stopped just in time. The braking distance is quite amazing on this car. Now this is not a CON but a little bit of a concern. Considering it only has 150hp, it is relatively QUICK, in all aspects just like its origin name ‘Rabbit’. Though i did notice it struggles A LITTLE BIT around the 80-100mph mark. So if you need to pass someone make sure you have good tires and your tires are rated for 90+ mph. AND DO NOT BE SCARED TO USE FULL THROTTLE, IT IS BETTER TO GET PULLED OVER THAN TO LOSE/TAKE A LIFE. Another really good pro, is the kick-down function, the pedal rests on the floor, so when you press it down ALL THE WAY you will feel a little click, like there’s a second step for the pedal, that’s the kick down function and when you use it for whatever reason it may be like passing someone in front of you or in an emergency. Depending on how fast you’re going (i will provide example below) it will always drop 2 gears and take off just as quick as a rabbit does. When you are in a 60mph zone and the person in front of you isn’t going fast enough for your liking or you just want to pass them, you mash the gas down all the way and you’ll maybe drop 1 gear (it will downshift into 5th gear) but if you push it all the way down to the floor you’ll feel that click and it will downshift from 6th to 4th gear and you will speed up very quickly reaching around 100mph in a matter of 5-8 seconds. It is very useful if the cars in oncoming lane is coming your way faster than you anticipated. This little car may not be fast (top speed) but it sure is QUICK. I got pulled over (just a warning) for going faster than i thought because of how quick and responsive this car is. SIDE NOTE: HEATED SEATS WITH UP TO 5 LEVELS IS AMAZING!!! it also has heated mirrors for all my people who get cold weather like ice and snow in the morning! All in all, This car is very reliable and worth purchasing. Just take care of it and i promise it will take care of you. 10/10 i recommend.

2005 Mercury Mariner review
Got the 2005 FWD V6 with 212k on it for $2,500. During the 3 years I owned it the only problem I ever had was one wheel bearing. It was fun enough to drive and handled decently in the snow. My only complaints: its handling was pretty rough at speed, it's mpg wasnt great, and the interior was cheap and falling apart. Then again, you expect this sort of thing when a car has that many miles. This car never failed me and always got me where I needed to go though. In the end it came through for me again and I sold it for the same price I bought it for.

2009 Subaru Outback review
We drove the car for 11 years & the only thing we did was change the oil/filter & replaced the tires. I believe there were three recalls. Two of which were air bags on the passenger side. Great vehicle with excellent mpg. One of the best cars that we've ever owned. We didn't purchase another one due to the tow capacity limit.

2014 Subaru Forester review
I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

2003 Toyota Avalon review
I bought my 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS and I have been the only owner. It is now 21 years old. I am so pleased with it. I don’t want any other kind of car but the Toyota Avalon XLS however they don’t make it anymore but I do recommend this to one of, the best cars that I have ever ever owned great car. I would like to start off by saying that my family and I have been long-time customers of Autonation Subaru. Our experience has always been excellent. Monday evening, I upgraded my 2024 Forester Lease to a 2026 Crosstrek Wilderness. Our experience started out as expected. However, it took an unfortunate turn after the transaction was complete. The details are not important because Kwabena, one of your sales managers, did a phenomenal job hearing my concerns and resolving the issues. I wanted to provide a list of all the exceptional things he did to address my concerns. He began our conversation by honoring my request to meet in an office so it could be a professional environment away from other customers. He provided an additional manager to participate in our conversation. I appreciated this from a school administrator perspective because I require the rule of 3 for my school leaders. He was genuinely invested in my concerns; while he assured me that my concerns would be addressed, he maintained professionalism towards the individual at the root of my concerns and did not disparage him in our conversation. When I arrived, it was very busy. One of my challenges was that I left my prescription glasses in the glasses holder on the windshield. While the sales associate I worked with communicated on 2 separate occasions that he was too busy to help me, Kwabena personally went to the secondary lot to retrieve them. He also addressed my other concerns and found solutions immediately. One of the solutions required a return trip to the dealership today. Even though Kwabena was off the day of the service, he ensured that the entire matter was communicated so that the necessary actions could be taken today to resolve the matter. I am sending this email of appreciation and as a leader myself, I know that it is important to hear that you can trust your other leaders. Have full confidence that Kwabena is phenomenal at his job! I am also sending this email because I respect the relationship and time invested over the last 7 years by both the employees of Autonation and my family. As a result of Kwabena's exceptional efforts, I am electing to forego submitting my feedback survey on my purchasing experience. I believe survey feedback should be honest and transparent. I also know that an organization should not receive a disparaging surveys when something goes wrong if a company manages it in the manner that Kwabena did. In closing, please express my deep appreciation to Kwabena for his efforts.
2012 Nissan Juke review
I have only driven Mercedes Benz cars and suv's for the last 12 years as a travel nurse I was paying so much for rental cars when I worked out of state and decided to buy a car. I found a Juke which I figured was cute but won't be comfortable or reliable just anA to B car..... WRONG! I fell in love with this little car it's amazing, comfortable, cute reliable and I bought a used 8-year-old juke with 164,000 miles and it starts and runs like a champ and has options to change drive modes like my Mercedes!!! LOVE IT!!!

2014 Scion iQ review
Love this car. CVT transmission works great, and understanding how they are different is important. The car handles like a large car but can turn in incredibly short radius. Back seats golf glare offering tons of space easily accessible from rear hatch or from the front. I felt the horn was weak and replaced it with Hella dual horns and they’re loud and alpine. I added fog light kit got better light and bright led bulbs for the headlights Indide I replaced halogen with led bulbs, added head liner lights in back and in the foot wells. The car is fantastic. I have a 911 C4, a Raptor and a Prius. I’ve had 6 bmws including m5. I love the scion. It’s great. There was one idiot reviewer when these cars came out hat panned this car but his ignorance was stunning. Single handed he helped ruin this cars reputation. He should be waiting tables, and staying away from cars. By the way, I’m 6’1 and my daughters boy friend is 6’2. I got in the back passenger side. He got in the front passenger side. We both had plenty of leg room. I was amazed because you wouldn’t have thought it. But it’s true. The drivers side back seat doesn’t have as much but a smaller person, a kid, wouldn’t have a problem. This car wasn’t designed to schlep around four people, but you can easily take three if you wanted. City parking… you rule ! This car can fit where nobody else can. You could pull straight into the curb between two parallel parked cars and still not stick out. If there’s a spot on the other side of the street you can Uturn without hesitation. It’s a piece of cake! You gotta love this car ! It’s fun and a blast to drive on the freeway at 75 or cruising the city and finding parking where everyone else has to pass by. Love this car!
