This is my second Mini convertible, my previous one was a 2007... I also own a 2014 Mini Clubman. I just LOVE this car!! Super fun to drive and "dress up" with little customizations. I have the "S" model in an automatic now and, unfortunately, it's not as good on gas as my '07 manual was, but hey, it's a small price to pay for so much fun!

I have only owned this vehicle for about seven months so far, but it is SO much fun to drive with the top down. The interior is a fun layout with buttons located in easy reach, and it's just a blast. I'm a large man - 6'1" and 275, and I still fit very nicely in it. Great leg room, surprisingly large trunk, and just fun! The only drawback I can see to this car is the visibility with the top up is awful. That said, the car is designed to be driven with the top down, so that makes sense!

Khan is the new manager at Infiniti of Glendale and he took care of our recent lease return and new purchase personally. I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. That is a great new addition in my book. I will probably get a kayak trailer.

Bought my 2015 last fall looks great drives great alot of fun . Faster than it looks . Not a extreme cold weather car . Handles great on snowy roads . I'm a bigger guy plenty of room . Would not want to sit behind me . I'd buy another

Attracted to this dealer by their inventory and prices. Was skeptical, because it’s not a mainstream brand dealership. I had just left a crooked one in Norco. Car was just as advertised, and salesperson Art was completely no-stress and straight forward. Let us go on a test drive and said “take your time”. We did and found some mild noise coming from the passenger side wheels. When I returned, I told Art about the noise and warning light on. He got their mechanics and 2 of them went for a drive. Came back after 10 minutes and one of them switched and sat in the back seat. I assume to locate the noise. Another 10 minutes later they returned and told me they went back to their shop and raised the car to locate the issue. It turned out they needed to replace the shocks and bearings. They would need to order the parts and would have the veh ready the next day. They would also warranty their repair. I was sold. An honest dealership with honest employees??? I bought the car on the spot and will return tomorrow to pick up the car. This is my daughter’s first car, so safety is everything. Don’t let stereotypes fool you. These guys are serious about quality and the customer.

It’s fun car to drive and the interior is beautiful. I have the Iconic model so there are lots of bells and whistles to get to know. Although the car is much smaller than my previous car it still offers a lot storage. It’s a 2022

We walked into SM BMW only looking to test drive the new 228i. Knowing that we wanted a manual transmission, we knew we'd have to order the car. We planned to play a few dealerships against one another to get the best deal. After talking for a few minutes about what we specifically were looking for, our rep informed us they had a brand new 328i that fit the bill. We looked at it, and even though it wasn't exactly what we were looking for, it was exactly what we really wanted! We made out like bandits on the deal, as BMW's with manual transmissions aren't exactly what the average buying is looking for, but it was EXACTLY what we wanted. The car is loaded up with all the options, and 6 months in we couldn't be happier with it. First service was easy to schedule, they provided a loaner car that was comparable to our car (automatic tho) and it was ready on time. I highly recommend this dealership, Achilles, our advisor, and BMW in general. This is my 5th BMW, but first from this dealership, I'm already planning on #6, and it will be from Santa Monica BMW!

Bought a 2023 Mini Countryman ALL4 John Cooper Works Edition of the car, and received my order last summer. Simply put, the performance is AMAZING. Put it in Sport Mode (a minor inconvenience), and it becomes a force to be reckoned with, especially to those unaware of this car’s capabilities. It’s marketed as a Mini—SUV, and I think that’s a fair categorization. Still have plenty of room for passengers, groceries,!etc, without sacrificing much, if any, performance. My only complaints? Difficult/clumsy control mechanism to get into Sport Mode, no native Android support, and rear windows are awkwardly installed, and have been “properly aligned” with remainder of car, instead of giving the appearance of being aligned with front/rear windows. In summation, this car performs better than its competition (a 2L inline 4cylinder, lightly turbocharged/intercooled, AWD, pretty aesthetics, and lots of opportunities for upgrades, beyond 301HP, 331FT/LBS Torque, and you have a contender for “production car SLEEPER OF THE YEAR!”), like the other “hot hatches”. Everytime my wife or I drive it, we NOW take turns.(she was bitten by the Mini bug) driving it EVERYWHERE, from trips to work, to the grocery store, and vacation driving. You really have to drive a JCW in Sport Mode to appreciate what I’ve said. Anyhow, these are my impressions on this amazing little car. Worth every penny, not getting rid of or replacing it, anytime soon!

2015 Countryman S.Very reliable; bought from Bergstrom. Steering problem when turning on bumpy roads.New models (after 2017) are better; but I don’t know about reliability.Have fun!

The countryman is the perfect compromise for those who want a Mini and still want a workable amount of interior space. The gas mileage is insanely good, it's fun to drive, and you will be running laps past everyone at the stoplights because of how zippy it is. Parking is also never an issue, always lots of space, and easy to maneuver. My only two complaints are that maintenance tends to be expensive (when you factor in the gas savings though, I'd say it pays for itself) and the engine is weak. If you load even just a couple hundred pounds of passengers and cargo into it, it can drive for maybe an hour or so before the engine light kicks on and begs for mercy. I've never had this result in an actual issue that caused a breakdown or required us to pull over, and maintenance confirmed that there are no larger issues with my engine in particular. Turns out that it just limits its own engine power whenever it's struggling. But it is a bit annoying, especially on longer trips.

Bought a new 2011 Countryman S, Rare Surf Blue w/black wheels. Great fun. Fast, Comfortable, Reliable. Moved out of CA in 2015 and sold the Mini because I thought the roads in the new southern state wouldn't be the best ride. Big Mistake! Could kick myself for selling it!

It be of no secret that the Germans are behind the production of the MINI Brand. The fit and finish, drive, engineering and even smell are all very much in tune with the Brand's Ownership. The drive and sheer joy one feels from driving one of these products makes you feel like a kid again, playing with their favorite toy after a day of school. There are bigger and more expensive offerings to choose but none have the character or joy of ownership of a MINI.

One thing I will say the price on the vehicle is set there is no wiggle room they are already priced low, I agree. What got me was no one was pushing me to buy the guy Alec who helped me take it out for a spin was freaking awesome and showed me some cool features. Antonio the sales rep got me a mind blower 2.49 financing I was sold.

Helpful, resourceful and gracious staff who definitely go the “extra mile,” to make the deal work for the client.
