The writer is truly wrong. I’ve owned one for a few years and just drove 600 miles with the top up no problem. Like driving a space capsule. Visibility is actually better than most cars. With the top down it’s amazing.

All of the fun of a bike, BUT, you can put the top up if needed, you have air and heat, you can carry on a conversation, and either of us can enjoy it without the 'other'.
