I owed a 2010 Cayenne GTS and thought that SUV was awesome. Porsche has really stepped up their game. The 2021 Cayenne GTS is very stunning and drives like a 911. Extremely happy so far!!

Darren highlighted and explained the XT5’s advantages such as the panoramic rear view mirror, parking assist, etc. He also prioritized how the vehicle will look and run during highway driving. My first Cayenne S was a 2004, which we loved - this is a tremendous upgrade in every aspect. The 2019 is terrific in every detail!

Buying a used car has changed in the internet era. Marketing pressures have pushed prices down such that there's little to do other than find the best car. I was looking for a high end sports car, and found three, in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. None in Austin, where I live. I was prepared to go to all these cities, bit Houston was first, and at Motor Trends I found a car and a buying experience that couldn't be better. The car was a low mileage Boxster and it was immaculate. The salesman offered the Fairfax, their own service record and the keys for a test drive. What a joy! No pressure, just honest information. My own mechanic had made me promise not to buy anything they hadn't inspected. Motor Trends offered to trailer the car to Austin at no charge so that could be accomplished, with the understanding that the deal would be canceled id my guy found any problems. German Auto Center was impressed with the condition of the car. They spent a day looking or over and found only one curiosity. The car was wearing snow tires! In Texas, we don't need them. I called Motor Trends and after checking it out with my mechanic they ponied up the money to replace the tires with more appropriate rubber. This was after the car was sold! I dunno. I've bought a lot of cars from a lot of dealers, and there are a lot of fine dealers here in Austin. It's a three and a half hour drive, but when I need another, I'm going to Motor Trends of Houston.

This review is for 2016 GTS model. After owning this car for a year / 20k miles, it left mixed impressions. Good: - very engaging, fun ride. Especially after installing fabspeed cat bypass and in the sport+ mode, the car sounds amazing - handling is good, its not jumpy on high speeds - interior quality - overall this was my best car to date for long road trips, not only it’s not tiring, but also fun, even on 12 hour drive. - the looks … gts model looks amazing … you cannot tell it from the 2023 model from the front, and the back overall looks better - nice gas tank size, dont need to refuel often - seats are comfortable - the AC and air quality inside the car is very good Bad: - honestly the car has mechanical flaw. You can find more info on this online, but the transmission is jerky on low speed and abrupt during breaking. The car had transfer case changed twice and it did not help. Imo this is the software issue - the v6 engine is weak. Comparing to x6m this is a totally different game. It cannot compete - trunk space is a disaster … the trunk is tiny - overall reliability, there’s been a couple of faults here and there Overall I am confused with the experience. While it was a fun car, I would have expected much more from porsche in terms of reliability and performance. Maintenance of a car is another issue, you can’t just drop by at any decent shop, because most don’t work on porsche. Those that do, are booked or don’t accept the 3rd party warranty

Having a decent job at the time, I had the 'bright idea' to obtain a personal loan through my credit union (Founders FCU in SC) to pay for my tuition expenses. Each year I borrowed a little more to pay for each semester -- the loan ended up reaching a whopping $10,000. My credit union also talked me into applying for a credit card -- which I did and had a limit of $5,000. My fall semester of college I lost the job I had throughout college, and having no income until my internship started the next summer, I wasn't able to make the payments and they eventually went into charge off status. Also, during my Junior year in college, my grandmother needed a loan for medical expenses, and her credit was not good enough to qualify on her own, I agreed to co-sign for her, which was dumb, I know. It was a smaller open line of credit ($2,500) at State Employees Credit Union in NC. Around 6 months in, she couldn't make the payments, so I paid it off for her. Unknown to me, she took out an advance on the line right before she passed, and I found out shortly after and was stuck with the bill, and that did not help with the fact that I had lost my job and was already drowning in debt that I could not pay. That account went into charged off status as well shortly after. I have been in a relationship for a couple years, we recently moved in together, and the struggle of being approved as a co-applicant due to my credit made me realize that I needed to get my credit back in shape. It's easy to give up and forget about it, but I know that in the next 3-5 years we will want to buy a house, and I don't want to be the one who makes it difficult because I haven't addressed my credit situation. I have attempted a settlement and payment arrangement with Founders FCU and they have surprisingly been very difficult to work with -- they will not settle and will not make a payment arrangement with me. They also told me that they have filed a judgement. The loan through Founders is still accruing interest as well, but the credit card is not. I got a secured loan through NFCU in March for $300 at a 6-month term, after that a friend of mine who is an attorney recommended PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST to me, which I quickly contacted and explained my predicament to them. They gave me 100% assurance that they’ll bring my credit back to shape. Within 6 days they made my State Employees line of credit reporting as paid and some of my debts marked as paid which boosted my score to an excellent score. Mohela student loan no longer appears on my credit report. Porsche did a nice job on the Cayenne redesign. Car has great lines and the interior instrumentation/ Nav screen has great aesthetics. Best part is the power. It has great acceleration 0-60 in 4.2 seconds for the S. Finally Porsche holds it value if you take care of it.

Now that an initial manufacturing defect with my dashboard has been fixed and wood trim has been added, I really love my car. It is a palace on wheels and a truly amazing vehicle to behold. However, to get to this point, I've realized the following: 1) It's critical to find a quality Porsche dealership. While they do exist, they are few and far between. In my area, there is only one that I'd trust to do much more than a routine oil change. 2) Porsche as a manufacturer has a surprising disregard for both quality control and customer service. They expect their dealer network to resolve their shortcomings. 3) Pricing is not fixed or consistent for anything. Even parts and routine maintenance costs. You can save a lot of money by calling around and being informed.

Our Mercedes Era motorhome sustained serious damage while passing through Houston on I -10. It was no longer driveable and we were still 4 hours away from our home in San Antonio. Having spent 35 years investigating and resolving claims for a large insurance company, I was versed in physical damage restoration. This car was so spacious. My husband is 6’ 2” and he had plenty of room to get in and out and head didn’t touch the top of car like other vehicles. It’s so sleek and stylish.
