I normally buy a car every few years. I must say that this buying experience was among the best I have ever had. First of all Brandon was an amazing sales person. He was low pressure and very accommodating. I wanted to go on a longer test drive and asked Brandon to give me several miles of freeway to drive. He took me on a route that made it seem like we were on the freeway for a good 10 minutes! When we got back I made an offer on my trade in and they made a counter offer. I advise that I needed a certain amount for my trade and they accepted it. That was it, 60 seconds worth of discussion and we reached a more than fair agreement! Annie, the finance manager was very friendly and had me in and out in about 10 minutes! I had to drive 50 miles one way to make this deal but would do it again in a heartbeat! 2015 RAM 1500 Lone Star review
Good truck
I bought this truck new in 2015 outdoorsman 3.6 pentstar and immediately the transmission modulator was bad and there was welding spatter on both front doors and the fixed it and a year later the wiring harness for the coolant fan was replaced.I will say the 3rd back cab brake light was leaking and one corner of my headliner got a tiny water stain but I fixed it myself with clear caulk.I have now done the transmission service 3,000 miles ago even though they say lifetime it’s not true but you can’t do it under warranty because it voids it.I have only used 5w20 super tech full synthetic in my truck and it currently has 80,000 miles on it and knock on wood it’s still smooth .I cleaned the throttle body myself last week and going to do plugs in a year.I attempted to do the serpentine belt with the throttle body cleaning but it takes 2 people so I’ll do it later.Truck had some hiccups but I’m happy with it and for those do it yourselfers, I have sprayed the weep holes on the bottom of my doors,fenders, hood and tailgate with wd40 in any hole I could find for years and never had rust problems .A General Motors body shop guy gave me that tip years ago.
