2019 Subaru Forester review
I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

2023 Subaru Forester review
Overall, at 60k miles, I’ve had no problems and am very happy. I average around 34 mpg’s with mixed driving. I’m happy with the acceleration as well, even though Subaru’s without a turbo are sometimes labeled as slow. I have no problem merging onto highways. The Forester is an easy to live with SUV/car. The rear room is adequate, although the CRV offers about 10 cubic feet more rear capacity. Visibility is excellent. The CVT is smooth and has simulated shifts, just make sure you change the fluid every 30k! I own the Limited with leather seats that are very comfortable. Sometimes the response time on the radio/touch screen can feel a little delayed. I also opted for the dimming driver/rear view mirrors which is great during winter commuting. It saves your eyes from glare. Very view cars offer this which is why I went with the Subaru. My only “major” complaint with the car is a slight rattle coming from the dash board area. It isn’t always there, but is present enough to bother me. Aside from that it is an excellent vehicle and value for the money!

2024 Subaru Crosstrek review
I love my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek! It's great in all weather conditions, which is one of the main reasons I bought it. I live in the Buffalo area and I needed a good car for the snowy winters. It's roomy enough to hold plenty of luggage and even my dog's large crate but easy to maneuver and park. I love all the safety features and special features such as the large media display.

The car performs great. The only negative is that they don't tell you that the factory-installed navigation is only free for year one; after that, you have to pay $16/ month more per month to continue to use it. Had I known that I would not have purchased the car

A Diamond in the Rough! Exceptional Service and Honesty from Donald Myers at Fairfield Subaru! My wife and I are now proud owners of a new 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Touring (River Rock Pearl Two Tone), thanks to the incredible efforts of Donald Myers at Fairfield Subaru. It was a much-needed surprise for my wife, whose car was recently totaled. She's always dreamed of a Subaru, and this past Sunday, Don made that dream a reality, exceeding all expectations. Our journey was initially frustrating. Our first attempt at Albany Subaru ended with an inexplicable $15,000 price hike upon arrival. They made us feel like we were wasting their time for not paying this huge markup. That, plus a Napa dealer selling a car from under us after starting paperwork, left us wary of dealership games. As a former car salesman, I know these tactics and just wanted an honest, respectful experience. Finding the new Forester Hybrid in my wife's preferred River Rock Pearl was incredibly difficult due to high demand. We'd almost resigned ourselves to a gas version, placing a deposit on an incoming silver model at Fairfield Subaru with Don. From our first interaction, Don was a pleasure – experienced, knowledgeable, and not pushy. I immediately felt I could trust him. Weeks later, I told Don my wife truly desired the River Rock Pearl. Don immediately found that exact Hybrid Touring incoming, unlisted online! We eagerly switched our deposit. Crucially, Don cleared it with his manager first, given the car's high demand. He then transparently explained a fair markup reflecting supply/demand. As a business owner, I respected this straightforwardness; businesses must be viable to serve customers and support their teams. Best of all, the price Don quoted was exactly what we paid. No surprises or games – just pure honesty. Don is a salesman of true character. The Forester arrived a week early, which was fantastic, but my wife was out of town. Given our past negative experiences, we were anxious the car might be sold, as our "reserve" was verbal. I also couldn't get from Santa Rosa to Fairfield that Sunday. Don then went truly above and beyond. He spent Saturday helping me with remote paperwork. Then, to ensure I could retrieve the car and surprise my wife, Don offered to drive an hour to Santa Rosa to pick me up! I was floored and initially declined, not wanting to impose. He then immediately offered an Uber or Lyft. This dedication is almost unheard of. Thanks to Don, when I arrived at Fairfield Subaru this past Sunday, the numbers were exactly as promised. I paid, and in under 30 minutes, was driving away. My wife's airport surprise was a success – she was overjoyed! Don even followed up the next day to ensure everything was satisfactory, testifying to his unwavering commitment. Don understood our needs and explained market realities, navigating everything perfectly with mutual respect. After bait-and-switch tactics elsewhere and a friend's harassment at Santa Rosa Subaru, Don was a complete breath of fresh air. He is a true diamond in the rough. Driving to Fairfield for Donald Myers is unequivocally worth it. Simply call and ask for him. 2021 Subaru Crosstrek review
Love the car… bigger than a car but smaller than a regular suv… has really good git… can pick up speed fast … also really good in snowy conditions… also love the lights that adjust to whatever you need at the moment without touching any buttons… would recommend this car 10 out of 10… I got the limited edition which means leather seats and more sensors/cameras on the outside which I love… the only complaints I have is the sun visors are pretty small and barely give enough sun blockage … the other thing is the cruise control only shifts every 5 miles backwards or forwards whenever you want to speed or slow down.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek review
Too early to be sure of reliability, but my previous 4 subarus were great. I came here to say how much I like this new purchase, a used '24. Great cruise features. Good power & performance (2.5L) so I'm happy with the CVT. I just love it. They're still a bit lighter and noisier than the outback/legacy versions.

The car did not qualify for the gov. incentive because it was built outside the US. The sonterra is a very reliable vehicle. We like it a lot.

2025 Subaru Legacy review
I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

2017 Subaru Outback review
I went from owning a 2003 Monte Carlo SS to a 2017 Subaru Outback. It was worth every penny. My Subaru is not only reliable, functional, and cute; it also saved me from being injured in a bad crash. This past fall a six point buck hit my car head on and I never saw it coming. It was a fatal crash for the deer, but not for me. As heartbroken as I was to see my car crumpled on the front, I was so glad it wasn't me. It was a repairable fix and made me really appreciate my car.

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek review
Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

2020 Subaru Impreza review
First things first... I view any car as a necessary evil.... I view them as something to get stuff from point A to point B. If I had My druthers I'd bicycle everywere but, since I live in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and as such we get a lot of snow and I can't. The Impreza fits the bill of what I need in a car. I have driven many cars in all kinds of conditions, the Impreza has never let me down. I'll admit it won't win most drag races but if you're looking for safety and reliability look no further. Mine is a lease and is the base model, but is chock full of great and useful features such as lane assist, hazard warning and my favorite adaptive cruise control (which brakes for you as the car in front of you slows down.) I had the first iteration of the Impreza in the nineties and that was good... This is awesome. Before I leased the Impreza I did due diligence by test driving Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota... The Impreza had most of the features I wanted at the price point that I wanted... Also the only manufacturer that offered AWD on the base model.

2026 Subaru Forester review

2025 Subaru Forester review
Bought this car and took off for a 2000miles trip so learned along the way, Not a speed demon but enough to get into traffic and gas mileage is great...over 30 on highway. my only complaint was I couldn't see during a bad storm because the center screen was so bright it was blinding me and had to turn it off. I have over 15000miles on it and owned for over a year and I would buy another one,

2023 Subaru Outback review
2023 Subaru Outback Limited XT. A great station wagon (it’s not really a SUV). Comfortable leather seats, smooth ride and extremely quick with the turbo. If you don’t need seating for eight, you have no need for the Ascent. Same engine and cargo capacity and ground clearance, lower to the ground, faster, better handling and several thousand dollars cheaper. Standard all wheel drive. Full safety suite. 11.6” infotainment system is really closer to 8” as the climate control takes the additional 3.6”. The Harmon Kardon sound system will blow your doors off. Good in car navigation. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hands free tailgate. 0-60 in 5.8 on regular gas. Standard roof rails. Even has heated outboard rear seats. If you’re considering a midsize or smaller SUV you owe it to yourself to drive this first.

2021 Subaru Ascent review
7th Subaru for this Alaskan. This is the best I’ve ever had. Bought the Touring edition, new, & still blown away by the rig. Tested out with a cross country camping trip & comfort, adaptability, utilities, dependability - all a 5. Took a tent, but not even needed, w/firm foam to create a level, comfy bed area. Now I get why my cousin tried to replace his Ascent Touring with a Lincoln Navigator. Ended up selling the Nav to go back to an Ascent Touring. The first Sub I’ve had that Dad proclaimed ‘comfortable’ and ‘perfect’. I chose the Captains chairs for the 2nd seat, and passengers have loved the comfort & their view, as well as their controls, drink holders, etc. I love the options to simply control everything. Almost killed by a drunk driver long ago, I keep a very close eye on everything around me. Visibility in this rig is mind blowing. And that’s on top of all the cameras that monitor what’s happening. Safety features are perfect. Like listening to music, radio, podcasts? Sound in the Touring edition is heavenly. Very, very impressed with this rig.

CarMax Capitol Expressway review
This place is amazing! They have so many cars to choose from. Plus they have an exotics lane which is really cool, they have everything from a Benz to a Porsche! The whole buying process is very quick, I bought my car in two hours and drove home. In comparison to the Mercedes of Stevens Creek, which literally took me 8 hours to buy after I picked out my car. The only knock is the service department, which doesn’t do paint repair for scratches, even though they told me that the scratches on my car would be fixed, they only used touch up paint, which looks like I did it myself and not professionally done like I wanted. But it was a used car, so no big deal. Overall I highly recommend!
2023 Subaru BRZ review
The Subaru BRZ is the most reasonable sport car with sufficient trunk room and a very small back. Seat, that can be folded down, if needed. The flat four cyl w/o turbo is enough. Power, 228 hp to make this a fun car to drive.

A fun car with performance features make it an excellent car in it's CLASS. Don't expect Corvette performance...remember what the BRZ is. Back seats are near worthless, but who cares.
