I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. I was looking for a specific vehicle within a certain age, condition and budget that they just happened to have recently acquired. After contacting Dean he provided the information I requested (Carfax, condition, etc) very promptly. I made an appointment for the following Saturday and when I arrived the vehicle was parked out front freshly washed and ready to drive. Dean suggested a nice less traveled nearby road to test drive and after looking at a few other similar vehicles in the area I decided to put down a deposit to secure the car. I returned the next week and completed the paperwork and within an hour I was on my way with my new well-maintained and detailed vehicle. Dean and his boss were very professional, courteous and not pushy at all. The business seems to price their vehicles very competitively and rely on profit margins from financing, warranties and the like but if you can avoid those and find a gem like I did you'll be a happy camper! I'll definitely keep them in mind for my next vehicle need.

Had this car for 10 years not a problem (touch wood ) 😊 CVT all good until now . Really recommend this car for a daily drive. Exterior is way nicer then the 2.0 personal preference

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek review
Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

Just days before at a different dealer, I was treated to the classic bait-and-switch when I showed up to test drive an advertised car (after calling to verify it was there first). At Subaru of Kings Auto Mall, the car was ready for me to test drive when I arrived. Peter in sales was friendly and helpful. Price was as advertised. They offered a fair value for my trade. They offered add-on services as an option, not the common hard sell. The whole process was smooth and fast; they seemed actively invested in not wasting my time, a real breath of fresh air after many contrasting experiences at other dealerships. I can see why they have such high ratings, and can certainly recommend based on my experience.
