2022 Subaru Outback review

2020 Honda Pilot review
Waited to give an honest review. 4 years later, I know have 109,000 miles on my 2020 Pilot Tour. The bad: It developed the known crackle sound coming from the speakers. This was fixed under warranty twice. The second time not coming back and has been fine. The looks are "meh". My wife's Nissan of similar trim level has a far nicer interior and much fancier seats. On curves the "warning" light flashes on my dash and the steering wheel shakes sometimes if a car is coming from the other direction. It's annoying, but I hear a problem for many manufacturers with these safety features, not just Honda. The Good: I consider my Pilot practical. It does everything well, just not flashy. My previous car was a 2012 Honda Pilot that I put 190,000 trouble free miles on. This Pilot with an updated transmission feels MUCH quicker. It is much easier to drive. It handles well, averages around 24 mpg on my commute (non expressway), and has been trouble free outside of the speaker issue. It hauls the family well, with lots of room, especially if the 3rd row is not used. I put on the dealer installed trans cooler and trailer hitch to tow a couple of waverunners, which it hauls easily. If you can get past the "ok" styling, it is a car that does everything well and my reliability has been very, very good so far.

2017 FIAT 500X review
I put 66,000 miles on my first one before a roll-over accident. It was my daily driver & for weekend trips and was still going strong when it got rolled (no fault of the car!). When it rolled? It barely got dented! It saved my life. I now own a second one. Concerned about reliability? The Jeep Renegade is the EXACT same car with a different body! How many of those do you see every day! lol I'm 67 and I've owned and raced sports cars all my life. This crossover handles nimble & quick w/no body roll. Suspension is firm but with a smooth ride. The electric power steering is TIGHT & satin-smooth, with a turning radius that is AMAZINGLY tight. If your model has a backup camera, the "guide" lines turn w/the steering & are VERY accurate! It gets good gas mileage and has very good driving position w/comfortable, adjustable seats for long trips. It can accommodate even the tallest person. It's loaded with a lot of standard features (w/personalization) that are normally found in more expensive cars. Some 500X models come w/heated steering wheel, seats and/or wipers and even anti-collision radar. It's very quiet. No engine noise OR wind noise & nominal road noise. It's VERY roomy with a good-sized load area. Ive been able to fit very large items. The 9speed automatic transmission & 2.4L engine give you great acceleration & pull at any speed. The shifting can be snappy in city driving but it's very smooth shifting on curvy roads or on the highway. I prefer a manual transmission, BUT this transmission has a SPORT mode which alters the shifting nicely & also a manual-shift features which works very good in SPORT mode. The heater works quickly in cold weather and the A/C works great on the hottest days. It has TWO glove compartments. The smaller one is cooled and heated via the climate-control system. The "Beats" audio system has the best "stereo-imaging" but the Bose system has better "lows" overall. I've been VERY happy with this car, that's why I got the second one right after the accident!

2017 Jaguar F-PACE review
Fantastic fit and finish, it's an amazing performance car with great handling and acceleration and braking. I have owned 5 Audi's, 3 BMWs, 2 Mercedes and I would have to say that this Jaguar is the best combination in a luxury performance car ever. If you drive it in a respectful manner the fuel economy is very good but it's nimble and the quad drive is there for any slippery situations.

2019 Ford Escape review
I Loved my 2019 Ford Escape! It was my third Escape, as I previously owned a 2005, and a 2011! Sadly, it was my last as FORD's new version of the Escape is AWFUL! I NEVER had one issue with my 2019, and I drove over 94,000 miles over the 6 1/2 Years that I owned it! However, the resale value SUCKS! I know it's just the game they play at the dealers, but it's an ugly game where the consumer always loses! But - it's only money,,, and you can't take it with you!

We knew the car we were getting before we got there. Did check out on the internet before we went, made an appointment with Owen and went up. Was greeted by a nice lady who got Owen for us . He brought the car around and said to drive it around for awhile and he would checkout my trade. After all was said and done we got the car we wanted at the price we wanted and a little more for our trade then we thought.we met with the general manager and the finance man. Everybody there was fantastic!!! Definitely would recommend the dealership and ask for Owen he was great.
2018 Tesla Model X review
Apart from no knowing what servicing has been done on the car before I bought it from TESLA! It's been okay two drives to UK from Norway the car has 150.000 Kms. They hadn't checked recalls, but fixed the front driveshafts & Suspension arms (recall). Nice bunch at Tesla Trondheim. Overall very happy with them, not so much with Tesla Skøyen in Oslo who were terrible.

2015 Honda CR-V review
One year and 37,000 miles later, my 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L, purchased from Bill Kay Honda, has exceeded all expectations! I bought this gem with 50,000 miles on the clock, and it's been nothing short of a dream. Dependability is the name of the game here – this car hasn't skipped a beat. Gas mileage has been consistently impressive, making both city commutes and long road trips a breeze. As expected with any vehicle of this mileage, routine repairs have been standard, but nothing out of the ordinary. The EX-L trim package adds a touch of luxury with its leather interior and upgraded features, making every drive comfortable. The spacious interior and ample cargo space have been perfect for everything from grocery runs to weekend getaways. Having finally taken the plunge into the Honda world, I now understand the rave reviews from my mechanics. This CR-V has proven its worth, and I'm a loyal Honda convert for life! I want to specifically mention the excellent service I received at Bill Kay Honda, especially from my salesman, Bert Tvrz. The sales process was smooth and transparent, and Bert went above and beyond to answer all my questions. He even called the previous owner to track down the owner's manual, which was incredibly helpful. Even a year later, I'm still thrilled with my purchase. Tip: If you're looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient, and comfortable SUV, the 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L is a fantastic choice. Regular maintenance will keep it running smoothly for years to come. 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L review
i recently had a 2023 for explorer it was a good truck never a problem but not a comfortable as the jeep grand Cherokee l front seating is amazing no issues at all i did my research and made sure i bought one with the German transmission its a good idea to check that only thing i can say on the down side seam to be a little under powered but i can live with it decent milage 20 around town.

I highly recommend working with Jimmy – he wasn’t there to sell me a car; he was there to help me find a car that would fit my personal needs and one that I loved while still staying within my budget. He is extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, friendly and honest, and listened carefully to help make relevant recommendations. A bit of a twist… I had a problem with my vehicle when I took it home. If I had purchased from a private seller or one of those roadside car dealers, this story would not have had a good ending. However, both Jimmy and Brian (general manager) worked with me to make things right. They were extremely cooperative, helpful and respectful. The situation was examined thoroughly, and many fair options were offered and considered. It naturally took some time to work through the process, but Brian had great follow through in keeping in touch with me along the way. 2020 Chevrolet Equinox review
I went for the annual emissions test and it failed because of the evaporator in the charcoal area. There is perhaps a weak voltage going into the system.

2018 Lexus GX 460 review
Love this vehicle. It is on a frame so it will not ride like a plush luxury vehicle but it rides and handles very well. Lexus detuned the motor bit. A little more power might have been nice but it not designed, nor do I want, a rocket. In fact, when I learned that Lexus was going to also retire this very reliable 8 cyclinder and offer twin turbo v-6s, we bought a second one. We get 18-22 miles per gallon from a reliable motor which will should last hundreds of thousands of dollars. This turbo stuff, just like the ev stuff represents false economies and will result in the death of such vehicles way before they need to be junked.

I typically hate going to car dealerships. They are usually pushy and sliding things past you trying to get a deal. This place did not. I will be purchasing my next vehicle from them!
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee review
My dream car since a teenager was a grand Cherokee and when I finally got one in 2021, I’ve loved it the same ever since. They are bold in appearance and look like a strong vehicle. It has always run beautifully and I have had no issues thus far since 2021 and now it’s 2024. Very comfortable interior and attractive to the eye. Love love love my car.

2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid review
PROS: * Overall 39 or 40 MPG combined city and highway. Really. * 500+ mile range on a full tank * Toyota's driver assist goodies work well (radar cruise, et. al) to reduce driver fatigue in both stop-and-go commuting and highway trips. * Sufficient power and acceleration to compete with big-city freeway traffic; uphill freeway on-ramps and so forth. * Nicely agile without being skittish. It goes where you tell it to with no drama. * I have done mild off-roading in Arizona. No problems, handles as hoped for. CONS: * Only one I can think of. Front seats are stiff. I find myself shifting my weight to get comfortable more often than I like.

2020 Audi Q5 review
Q5 is an excellent car comfortable, luxurious interior, beautiful exterior design, and, most importantly, reliability. I am amazed that at the third maintenance, Audi service did not rotate the tires; after three years, all tires are in balance and well aligned.

We saw the alfa romeo online 2 weeks ago my husband went and saw it. Couldn't test drive because recalls need to be fixed. They got it all fixed up and give us the paperwork for the testing that was done. They call my husband that it was done with in a week or less. My husband and I came down took test ride he love it it was so clean and nice and the price was just right and we got to take it home that night. They even got us full car insurance just took about 1/2 hour extra and everything else went smoothly. 2017 Honda CR-V review
CRV has been a very good good vehicle. Engine has lots of power for its size category. Exterior and interior materials are very high quality, especially on the EX-L versions and higher. Car has required very little maintenance other than scheduled items. Rear visibility is better than many other SUVs. Cargo volume and rear seat legroom are more than ample. Gas mileage is pretty impressive as well. We liked the CRV so much, we bought a second one.

2024 Ford Escape review
I’ve had extreme trouble getting into and out of the vehicle because the floor is so deep to the door. I now have a permanently injured knee. The doors don’t open wide enough for my knee that doesn’t bend completely. That causes me discomfort. Senior people can’t always bend their joints enough to get into and out of this vehicle. But I do love how it handles and also the great features.

2024 Jeep Compass review
We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. 2017 Honda CR-V review
2017 Honda CRV Touring, purchased new. Average 34mpg, AWD, 75,000 miles. Only problem is every other month, the dashboard screen flickers uncontrollably until car is turned off. Other than that this vehicle has been 100% reliable with zero mechanical or other electrical issues.

First time I went in, was just looking to see what was on the lot and was greeted, and after that, not another contact with anyone. When I came back to test drive a few vehicles, got a great sales guy. Overall selection of vehicles is quite nice, and most of the vehicles are almost new to very good condition. Though Carmax likes to display the image they sell cars that have or haven't had any issues, you'll find you'll need to look closer. Most are bought at auction after coming off lease or from being a fleet vehicle. Which is a good thing, as you the regular maintenance was done on them and often the vehicles have original warranties still in effect depending on what vehicle you are looking for and what year. The sales guy was low pressure, and when I came in the next day to buy, I was given another one since he was completing a sale on another customer. Wasn't an issue, as he or the guy that took over were truly "car" guys. The liked cars, had sales experience, but weren't "car" guys. The experience was good overall, but the highlight was completing the deal. Paperwork was done quickly (I had preapproval from my credit union with EFT) and finished the paperwork in about twenty minutes. Amazing, got the vehicle at just an average price, but go the mileage I wanted, with original warranty and extended warranty at the price I was willing to pay. SO overall, win for me, and though I was never a Carmax fan (still rubs me the wrong way their colors are almost best buy colors when their parent company was circuit city....). But I will say my mind was changed.
2025 Toyota Crown Signia review
My wife and I went to the LA Auto Show because she was in the market for a new car. She had her heart set on a Hybrid Highlander, but after a close exam, we were unimpressed with the interior quality. The Toyota display did not feature a Crown. After being impressed with the KIA and Hundai quality, we were on our way to those dealers. On a whim, we stopped at a Toyota dealer, which had a single Crown Signia Limited. WOW! Fantastic interior and quality. We bought it!
