This is the best car I have ever owned! I used to use her to drive to and from work but now that I am retired I use her for whatever I need. She holds a lot of stuff, especially for her size. The only problem I had go wrong was the clutch in the air conditioner. After a couple of years it was evident, I was not going to be getting rid of this car anytime soon so I got it fixed so I didn't have to sweat any more. That was about 12 years ago. I have done regular oil changes and filter changes. I am not saying she has had no abuse because she survived teaching a new driver and the abuse from a not so careful driver. This car is easy to park and is still super comfortable. I can't tell you how much I love her. I wish I had bought 2 of them!

I am a professional technician of 20 years i looked over a few of there cars before purchasing a 2005 Toyota matrix. Super clean car inside and out. Great buying experience. Easy going sales Office. They are happy to share car history. All of the cars seem to be Legacy models, years, and you can't go wrong with their cars.

Great car drive and also great to haul just about anything Small to mid sized since the back seats fold all the way down. And it gets good Gas MPG as well.

I bought a new a 2008 Matrix XR in September 2007. I still have it. It is nearly 18 years old and runs great. I do regular synthetic oil changes every 4500 miles. And have Toyota do routine maintenance as per owners manual. It is a 4 speed Automatic with all safety features that are important. I plan on keeping another 18 years if it keeps going.

All i can say is that Carey's auto treated us with respect and sold us a very nice car 🚗 we will get another car from them again.. thank you..🤩😀

At a time when I was moving around two dogs and a cat, this car was an absolute must. It was a great value to start and even more so now that I use it as a second vehicle. The only maintenance I've done is the routine oil changes, etc. I expect to own it for another 10 years

I was in the market to purchase a reliable used car for my daughter for under $5k. We had been all over town for a couple of weeks. Love the Matrix, got sport package and she looks sharp. Sun roof and low bumpers makes a good appearance. Still looks new! This is my 6th Toyota. Can't beat them! When my friend's cars are in the shop, I m off to Vegas! 150,000 miles and still flying!

I miss mine. Bought it about 8 years ago for my son right after college. He drove it everyday until he moved to NY about 3 years ago, then I started driving it about everyday. Only trouble was a battery dying. About 3 weeks ago he moved back and now got it. SAD!!!!!. That car has the quickest pickup and can hang with the best of them for a 4 Cylinder. Toyota should have never stop making this one. Have to give it a five out of 5. I search the used car adds looking for another one.

I owned 2006 Matrix and loved that car and so I purchased new 2013 model and hand down the older one to my daughter. Both cars were manual transmission, the ride is little bumpy but I don't care, great economy, great room for stuff like my push mower and very reliable, I don't have to worry about what is going to break next. Unfortunately Toyota stopped making them my 2013 model is the last year.

Went to Phat’s today to look at a Camry and can say this was easily my best dealer experience. Phat took the time out of his busy day to talk with me about the car and share his great knowledge of the engines and navigating the used car buying experience. He gave me advice and was honest and straight up with me placing no pressure to buy the car even giving advice which would lead me elsewhere. If your like me and hate going to dealerships because of the sellers you usually encounter, I can assure you that if you walk in and ask for Phat he will give you that feeling right off the bat that he is a trust worthy person. He will give you advice about the vehicle (coming from a master auto technician) and get you into something that is right for you not into some xxx that has the best profit margin. Also if your cool he will even show you cars he is working on in his shop and shoot the xxxx! My experience today was different (for the better) because the small issues I had with the car he was willing to sit down and go over making a list to fix before we made a deal… where I am used to the seller dropping the notorious “the car is priced for what your getting”. Anyways, he has clean cars there and stands by them with a warranty that is rare in the used car business. And trust me when you talk to him you know he will stand behind his warranty and his cars. That is why I will be going back.. he just had a vehicle come in that I like but is not ready yet. Thanks again Phat for all the knowledge and just being a cool dude!

Excellent car. Might not be the most beautiful one or the most powerful one but a very good car to drive in city or to travel around the world. Odometer stops at 299 999km but i think mine is at 400 000km. Maintenance is really cheap and I never had a major issue with it. Really economic on gas. I'd 100% recommend it above all for it's reliability

I've owned my 2009 Matrix XRS since 2008 and it has been a great & reliable car that has only required regular maintenance to keep it going. I get 28-30mpg on the highway and even though I am 6'3", I am very comfortable in the driver's seat. My one complaint is the high performance tires that come on the XRS trimline are expensive and wear out much more quickly than the recommended ~40-50K mile range. I've driven my Matrix 108K miles and plan on keeping it for much much longer.

I really like my Matrix-S. Using no-ethanol gasoline is recommended for optimum performance. It is able to fit 8-foot long items inside with the passenger seat folded down. I am fairly tall, so the little bit of extra bit of headroom I get with the sunroof is nice. With regular, recommended maintenance, I haven’t had any issues or breakdowns. [knock on wood] If you have a chance and if it’s the right fit, definitely pick one up.

I was given plenty of time to find without any hassle or hard selling. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. Any questions I did have were answered clearly and honestly, and I never felt like I was being pushed toward something that wasn’t right for me. Arranging the test drive was quick and simple, and the test drive itself was smooth. Everything was explained clearly, and I was given the time I needed to properly get a feel for the car.

My only regret is that they stopped making it. I would have bought another, if I could. I only sold it because I needed an automatic transmission.
