I drove down from Metro Detroit to check out a 2012 Subaru Outback. Having had a local family member check out the car beforehand, I was impressed with what I saw. Fitz was very accommodating and let me take my time with the test drive, getting the car inspected by a mechanic of my choice, and even taking it to grab lunch after a long morning. Negotiating was very straightforward and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or given the run-around, which is something I have experienced at other dealers. Fitz even helped me move all of the junk in my trade-in's trunk to the new vehicle! My only complaint was that the detail job and wash done before hand left some mud and gunk under the vehicle, but overall I was very happy to have purchased my new vehicle at Yark.
I scheduled an appointment for my car service. When I arrived, I was asked if there were any other concerns besides what I booked the appointment for. I mentioned and saw the guy take notes. After about 1.5 hours, someone walks up to me says I need a new battery and change air filter. But no mention of my other concern. Finally after waiting for 3 hours they gave me my car back. But my concern with the car was never addressed. When I asked why? I was told they did not have enough technicians. But they had those technicians to work on other things on my car? Why do you overbook, if you know how many technicians are available for that day? It???s not like 10 technicians called out sick the same day.
Even though the service department didn???t have my appointment on the book (I set it up online using the chat feature - which is not very good) Adam got my car in and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Especially considering that he squeezed me in. Service department is always good. The online service scheduling (which I would prefer to use) is subpar. I will call Adam directly from now on (he gave me his card) but Yark really should have an operational online scheduling site.
Aj was great. Sounds like he will be there for us years to come. The only complaint was the trade. I see they are trying to sell our trade more then double then what they gave us. Felt a little ripped off when I saw that. Hope service will be as good as aj was us.
I really like this dealership from the friendly no pressure salesman to the service dept. that bends over backward to explain whatever service I am getting and keep me up to date when they will be finished. They also wash and vacuum the vehicle for me.
I worked with Jan from Carvana- she was able to explain to me the process, make sure I was comfortable with where it was at, was able to be reached and kept communication open. The pick up process went smoothly and I was able to sell my car without any glitches.
